Agreed.
Even getting to the direct / private ‘messages’ “envelope” icon thingy is a PITA….
Only way I’ve found is to click on my own username in a thread post which then takes you to your “public” profile… Why can’t we get to it from our “dashboard” or ‘user control’ or ‘profile’ link?
C’mon @madam stop the hill billy hijinx up there are the Woodford hippy fest and do some bloody “admin” …
Oh wait, maybe your ARE doing an ‘admin’ … Did you take your edge trimmer and exit mould spray?

Ok…I tried a test with Weetie…and got a message on my email but nothing on the site indicated I had a message until I clicked on the PM link and opened it. Small steps

Check “settings” that you ticked boxes to get notifications?
I have a notification bar come up at the top of the page saying I have a new message
And now a recent replies and posts button
And best of all a new posts since your last visit button – I will have to find out whether they disappear if you don’t read them all or if they stick around until you read them

I thought that may be the case its simply a summary page.
not perfect but still better way to manage them for now.
