New Zealand Golf is pleased to announce the winner of the LOVE Golf Member Get Member competition for the chance to play in the BMW New Zealand Pro-Am in Queenstown in March.

Andrew Simpson, from the Nelson Golf Club, was chosen as the winner of the Ultimate BMW New Zealand Open Experience, a promotion run in conjunction with the LOVE Golf Initiative.

The 44-year-old, who works in Inventory Control for a local plumbing company, was drawn out of 372 Member Get Member entries for the coveted prized valued at $10,000.

Simpson, who plays off a 10 handicap, and has played every second day during the summer, was speechless when he got the call to confirm his prize.

“This is an absolute dream come true for me,” he said. “I was hoping to get down there to be a spectator at the BMW New Zealand Open, but to be inside the ropes and play alongside professionals in the Pro-Am Championship will be something else. I cannot wait to get down there to soak it all up.”
