Boynton youth shares golf skills with his peers

Nick Staub, 11, has demonstrated in his short golfing career that he can be very successful, and he is already a role model to those who hope to follow in his footsteps.

The Boynton Beach youth was recently invited to conduct a junior golf clinic at the Wycliffe Golf & Country Club in Wellington. He showed off his skills and took on all challengers in a putting competition. He also talked to the nearly 100 youngsters in attendance about what makes golf fun and why he loves the sport.

“There are so many different ways to play great golf,” Staub said. “You can hit the ball far, and you can have a great short game. You can have the best iron game, or you can play wedges really well. That was the first time I ever did a clinic. It was a lot better that what I expected.”
