With snow on the ground, it may not seem like ideal weather for golfing. That is, unless you’re planning some snow golfing.

Terrace Lakes in Garden Valley has been hosting a “snolf” game for the past three years.

Instead of a golf ball, snolfers use a tennis ball. Each player is allowed one club as they make their way through a shortened course.

 “You don’t need to be a golfer to play snolf,” said Terrace Lakes spokesman Lonnie Bramon. “You’re hitting a tennis ball, not a golf ball. That’s the nice part about it – the women can come out and play, the kids can come out and play, anybody can play snolf.”

Terrace Lakes is planning two or three snolf games a month this winter. The next round is scheduled for New Year’s Eve.
