Golf Australia team coaches Bonville’s best
BONVILLE Golf Resort has spent one week hosting the Golf Australia high performance training camp.
Visitors included current elite Australian representative players from the age of 13 years up, elite professionals including rookie squad members, PGA and LPGA tour members and elite coaches.
The camp aims to provide additional resources and data collection via coaching, sports science, sports medicine and other technical expertise including media training, course management, international travel, short game and pre-shot routine.
Golf Australia believes that by providing crucial information of the player’s physical, technical, tactical and emotional abilities, long-term plans can be better developed.
Ideally this information is gathered in early teens so the development process can be detailed and precise.
Familiar faces spotted within the group were players from last December’s JNJG Bonville Champions Trophy including 2014 winners Blake Windred and Doey Choi who continue to succeed in their golfing careers.
Both have already qualified for this year’s JNJG Bonville Champions in December.
Two large groups have been at Bonville headed by 36 ladies from Killara who stayed three nights and played three rounds.
Bonville also welcomed a group of 19 from the Hunter Valley with guests from Sydney and the Central Coast.
It’s the 11th visit to the resort for most.
