Help young Aussie brothers fight for World Titles in the U.S
Junior members Caleb, Aidan and Ben Scott of Capricorn Resort Golf, Yeppoon, has recently qualified for the 2016 Australian Junior Golf Team to travel to the United States, and are now looking for donations in a heartfelt letter to fulfil their dream.
The Scott brothers, aged 17, 9 and 14, has qualified to travel to not only one, but two, world events in the United States: the World Stars of Junior Golf in Las Vegas and the West Coast AAU Olympic Games Golf Championship in California. Both tournaments are played consecutively in July this year.
The boys will compete in the 17-18 years, 13-14 years and 9-10 years divisions against the best junior golfers from around the world. But the cost to travel overseas for each of them is rather daunting, and they have to raise funds for flights, accommodation, registration fees, transfers and meals, all of which total approximately $4,000.00 each.
In their letter seeking donation, the boys explain that their parents are unable to cover the expenses for the trip, and unless the family can raise money, the young golfers will miss out on this fantastic experience and great opportunity.
The boys are all very passionate and train six to seven days a week, and wish to pursue a career in golf. In the letter, the boys says it is with opportunities such as representing their country and competing on a world stage, that will provide experience and help them toward achieving their goal.
If there is any way you can help out by making a donation, Caleb, Aidan and Ben would be truly grateful. No matter how big or small, it all adds up to getting these boys across the line to travel with the 2016 Australian Junior Golf Team.
