AUSTRALIA is set for a sneak peek at American golf’s next superstars with the Aussie coach of US young gun Jordan Spieth revealing intentions to bring two of the world’s top 10 amateurs Down Under.

Cameron McCormick, a native Victorian now based in Texas who has coached Australian Open champion Spieth from 12-year-old prodigy to current world No. 9, told Australian Golf Digest he wants stellar students Will Zalatoris and Austin Connelly to experience our summer of golf.

World No. 5 Zalatoris took US golf by storm last year after winning both the prestigious US Junior Amateur Championship and Texas Amateur as a 17-year-old, before kicking off his college career at Wake Forest — former university of the legendary Arnold Palmer.

Connelly, the 18-year-old world No. 6, has been touted as a future solution to the US team’s Ryder Cup woes, having played a crucial role in America’s fourth-straight Junior Ryder Cup victory in Scotland in September.

The success rate of McCormick’s students in Australia is 100 per cent so far, with Spieth obliterating last year’s Australian Open field. The 21-year-old fired a final round 8-under par 63 to win by six shots in his first time playing in Australia.
