MyGolf selected for Sporting Schools initiative

Hundreds of school children will be introduced to golf through the new Sporting Schools initiative as part of the Federal Government’s plan to get more children involved in sport.

MyGolf, Australia’s national junior golf programme, has been selected as one of 12 sports to make up a new pilot that will see golf enter schools and motivate participation.

“The PGA is delighted to see MyGolf selected as part of the Sporting Schools pilot program and a positive step towards golf being readily available to children throughout Australia,” said Brian Thorburn, Chief Executive Officer of the PGA of Australia.

“A junior golf participation strategy is vital to the future sustainability of our sport and the PGA has spent considerable time investing in a single national junior golf brand alongside Golf Australia,”
