MyGolfer of the month: February 2015
The MyGolf team congratulates the recipient of the February MyGolfer of the Month Award, Queenslander Kai Komulainen.
Nine-year-old Kai joined the MyGolf program at Emerald Lakes Junior Golf Academy last December to further develop his golfing skills, even though he started playing golf a year earlier.
Kai has been very eager to learn and improve his golfing skills since joining the MyGolf program. He has attended all of his MyGolf sessions and practises regularly each week, despite severing tendons in his foot and being restricted to a moon boot for quite some time.
Emerald Lakes MyGolf co-ordinator David Wilson has nothing but praise for Kai.
“Kai has a fantastic positive attitude towards golf and is always eager to learn and improve,” Wilson said.
“He is respectful to other juniors and his coaches, displays great sportsmanship and has improved his all round game significantly.”
Not only does Kai attend MyGolf sessions on a Thursday and Saturday at the Master level, he also plays in Sunday competitions, Pee Wee Pennants and has recently won the February monthly medal at Emerald Lakes.
Congratulations Kai, keep up the fantastic work!
Nominations for the March MyGolfer of the Month Award must be sent to mygolf@golf.org.au by 5.00pm on Monday, March 23.
