The Queensland Travel Industry has again raised the bar in their quest to support the amazing work of the Daniel Morcombe Foundation. Recently the organisers of the now famous Drive for Daniel presented a cheque for $19,000 to Bruce and Denise Morcombe following another amazingly successful 2015 event held at Carbrook Golf Club in March in what were perfect conditions.

It was another sold out field of 144 players all dressed in red, with the QLD Travel Industry again setting the standard and getting behind the day providing in excess of $30,000 in prizes for the ultimate raffle. It has become somewhat of a tradition where operators and sponsors pool resources and come together for the day promoting their products and networking, whether its on a sponsored hole or on the course. It’s a fun packed day with the four ball ambrose event at Carbrook being contested for the Daniel Morcombe Perpetual Trophy as well as a myriad of prizes for the winning teams. The large collection of  raffle prizes follow some of which were electrical goods, travel vouchers, limo transfers, holidays, several international airfares, gift vouchers , international and local hotel accommodation – too mention just a few.

The 2015 Drive for Daniel was the Queensland Travel Industry’s 4th year of raising funds for the DMF and amazingly they have donated $60,000 in total over this time. There are no plans to stop there however with the 2016 event already booked in for Friday 18 March 2016.
