Take part in Women’s Golf Day June 4, 2019
Women’s Golf Day (WGD) is a one-day four-hour experience for women and girls around the world. It is a celebration of women and girls learning golf skills that last a lifetime and being part of a larger global community.
WGD started in 2016 with 484 locations in 28 countries. In 2017 there was a 68% increase with 711 locations in 46 countries participating, joining women around the world in golf and community. Over the three-year period more than 900 locations in 52 countries have participated.
WGD’s primary hashtag, #WomensGolfDay, received more than 15 million global impressions to nearly 10 million users across Twitter and Instagram.
WGD has partnered with Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) supported by Play for P.I.N.K. BCRF supports breast cancer research and doctors around the world including 14 outside the USA. This is very much in line with our global demographic. We will partner and request our WGD community fundraise for BCRF.
The location decides if the event is public or private and if they charge a fee or not to the women attending. This allows for public and private clubs to participate and do what is best given their demographic.
Women can go to womensgolfday.com website and sign up for a location near them to participate on June 4, 2019.
To take part, locations, golf courses, driving ranges, retail stores and TopGolf facilities sign up to host an event on the Women’s Golf Day website under “Register a Location” https://womensgolfday.com/location-registration/.
From November 2018 to the end of February 2019, there is no cost for facilities to register. After March 1, 2019, there is a small one-time registration fee for the location for the year to support the running of the organization, online and licensing. Facilities receive a profile on the WGD website, which allows consumers to find them, marketing materials for print and already created social media that they can download customize with the name of their club and use.
