ParticipantThe worst score from day 1 for the men was +10. Was that better than our best score at the Nats last year?

ParticipantHeading down to watch on the weekend but the course does seem to be set considerably easier. My brother in law played in the Pro Am during the week and said the scores were pretty low there too.

ParticipantThe greens are pretty slow atm, was talking to my mate who’s a green keeper down there and they’ve had issues with them coming back after a reno. Weather has played a part. They were very sandy when I played there a couple of weeks ago.

Or.
Great ways to cope with stress.
Greens looked ok on TV. Although a few close up putting shots showed a few bounces. Plenty of distraction from the sea breeze.

ParticipantWent down on Saturday and watched. Great format with the Mens and Womens on the same course and intermingled. Found more value in watching some of the women groups looking at how they approached certain holes in the wind. Watched Sangstrom for a while, had great ball striking and was having fun even in the wind.
As for the greens my Brother In Law, member and resident down there, mentioned that they got some disease a month or so back and hadn’t fully recovered. Still looked pretty quick going down hill down wind to me.

ParticipantFollowed Ogilvy on Sunday morning and you could see his frustration at the slowness of the greens. Couldn’t get his chips to run out etc Then he 4 putted and pull hooked two balls in the water on 10.?
