Mads, we’re in carts next weekend aren’t we?
I am just deciding what to wear and to make the point that we will be in carts and that I am going to win the crown

    Good luck with that Bumpy.

Thanks Obe, I need all the luck I can muster to decide what I wear sometimes

Crap I almost missed this sledge! damn you are good.

Its walking, their pull buggies are all hired out already, (he he he) and I’m going to drop a couple of bricks in your bag when you are not looking.

Diabolically wet was promised for today and at 7:00am the radar showed lots of big heavy clouds headed our way, so I cancelled my 8:44 booking. It is now 2:44 and I haven’t seen one drop of rain.
    Bloody weather !!!!!!!

Being harder than, say, a blancmange, is always helpful when deciding to play or to cower in the bunker.

It’s been too wet for golf for the last couple of weeks, until today.
And what a beautiful golfing day it was.

That brief storm late Thurs meant no power from just before 6:00pm until 1:40pm Fri. No power really buggers things. No lighting, gas ducted heating but no power to light the flames or blow the air through the ducts. No gas hot water – no power to ignite the flame. The NBN node around the corner had no power so no internet. Even the phone towers were powerless so I couldn’t call anybody. The only saving grace is that my cooking has gas hotplates and I have matches. So, by the light of a torch I cooked up some eggs (yes, with bacon) and went to bed at 7:30. The power came on for about one minute just after midnight, but then not again for another 13 hours. Stayed in bed until 9:00am, not that I could do much when I did get up.

But it seems there are vast numbers of people who still don’t have power, some had their homes and cars smashed and a few died. So I am quite lucky, comparatively speaking.

Now that we’re in spring, the wet weather is behind us, if only for a few days.
In this bloody hot weather (it was 24°) I decided to mow the lawn, then sit outside and down a beer. But too hot for that.
So, with only a dreg left in my stubby, I came inside out of the sun. Still too hot, I decided to test the aircon ahead of summer. Damned remote batteries were flat and starting to corrode. All fixed now, aircon works, stubby empty. At least the sunshine is providing the electricity, currently 2.64kW.

Too wet for golf, or so they said it would be.
Big storm clouds heading our way and just about on us, so I cancelled my booking around 8:00am. Playing partner cancelled his last night. We were promised 20 – 35 mm with constant rain all day. Still waiting for a few drops, would’ve finished by now.

    Yes, blancmange.

wet all day at my house so even if our lock up sentence had finished this weekend it would be no good as too wet to play anyway.

Well, they promised bucketing rain, damaging winds and basically crap weather with a top of 24°.
But it was beautiful, sunny weather with a gentle breeze and has just hit 31°.
There are some clouds gathering on the ranges to the north, but the rain was supposed to have been this morning.
Good thing I didn’t cancel my golf booking.

Again, the forecast was for thunderstorms, flooding, etc.
Here, just east of Melb, had barely a few drops, nothing in the rain gauge, mostly sunny. It has only dropped below 30° in the last half hour. Grass was dry to mow.

Maybe a bit of rain later, or when I’m teeing off tomorrow.

Glorious golfing weather all week and this weekend here in Gippsland.
Sydneysiders have been promised a torrential dumping this weekend, down from SEQ. I hope all you critics of Melb weather remain safe and dry while we play golf.
