Participanthow jacked are his lofts if he needs a 47 wedge and a PW?
His driver is 5.5
ha…so on an avg 4 degrees jacked. Prob trying to make up for the lack of shaft length 😛
Driver: 325 yards7-iron: 205 yards – driver
3-wood: 295 yards
4-hybrid: 275 yards
4-iron: 255 yards
5-iron: 235 yards
6-iron: 220 yards
8-iron: 190 yards – 3W
9-iron: 175 yards – 5W
Pitching wedge: 160 yards – 4H
47 degree wedge: 145 yards – 5H
53 degree wedge: 127 yards – 7i…clearly we have a club gap issue
58 degree wedge: 110 yards – 9i…same issueFFS!
I’m glad you did those distances… saved me posting mine. I just say… Ditto
how jacked are his lofts if he needs a 47 wedge and a PW?
I was of the belief that a PW was around 47/48 degs. His PW must be at about 44 which is basically a 9i. If that be the case then it would suggest his 4i is lofted somewhere between a 2&3i.
thought std PW were 46 so prob not far off your estimate. Pity even so, 2i does (his 4i) doesnt go 255 yards….what a beast

ParticipantMy 54 is about 6 yards behind
That’s as close as I can get
Shame there’s about 6 light years between his GIR stats and yours
Had 8 Saturday and 10 Sunday
Maybe 3 light years

ParticipantI can hit a PW over 145 yards.(132m)
Example:
In the left pot short of 8th green at Gardiners, about 70m from middle of green.
Take PW and attempt to hit low pitch out taking a big divot.
Pick it clean and long up over green, trees at back and over behind 1st green which measured 85m back to middle of greenEasy 150m shot.

Participant+5 and missed the cut at Muirfield. Doesn’t help on a short tighter course.

I watched his 10 on one hole. Tried to “muscle” it and put 2 out of bounds.

Here’s how it went down, shot by shot.
Tee shot 279 yards left into a water hazard.
Penalty stroke.
Attempting to reach the green, he hit a fairway wood out of bounds, on the wrong side of a boundary fence down the right side of the hole.
Penalty stroke.
Attempting to reach the green again, he hit a fairway wood out of bounds in the same vicinity as the previous shot.
Penalty stroke.
Attempting to reach the green a third time, he hit a fairway wood well right near the previously noted fence. It bounced off the cart path multiple times and settled just short of a water hazard.
Pitch onto green, leaving him 29 feet from the hole.
Lag putt to three feet.

ParticipantI couldn’t understand his mind set on that hole. I understand his good results have come from taking risks and being aggressive.. but he was still inside the cut line and he tried the exact same shot 3 times!!!
Surely after the first out of bounds ball.. which even the commentators were lost for words as to why he was attempting that shot to begin with.. he’d take the medicine walk away with a bogey or a double and stay in the cut line.. was mind boggling stuff..
I suppose he lives and dies by the sword..

Yeah…I think it was more the 10 on one hole that did it.
But I’m just speculating.
