We already had two months without golf when the virus first raised its ugly spikes.
At least those of who are regional citizens will still be able to play some golf.

Maybe we should be doing speed golf. It takes me around 50 minutes to play 18 holes – falls in under the 1 hour of exercise and could keep the golf courses open as long as you live near one. 🙂

You’re not actually exercising unless walking or swinging a golf club. All that standing around waiting for other players is not exercise. Everyone got their stopwatch ready?

Except the prison yard courses are now closed.

I feel for those of you who are now without the ability to have a hit, well on a golf course at least, for the ensuing 6 weeks. Only hope that things settle down in that period and Premier Dan draws on the fact that he could have opened courses earlier than he did last time safely. Worst part I suppose for you guys is that it all could have been prevented by some individuals doing the right thing in the first place and that systems that were in place were followed and not flouted.

In the mean time, keep safe guys and to you and your families, my thoughts are with you all. Here’s hoping that everyone of you walks out the other side with a continuing clean bill of health.

does anyone know if green keepers are still allowed to work at the greater Melbourne contaminated zone courses..
green keeping is not really really essential service, and I know last time, clubs had to battle to retain the courses.
not mentioned anywhere, but then again haven’t heard clubs screaming.

50 minutes is pretty fast for 18 on a typical 6000m track

This situation tests our tenacity and endurance. Not knowing how long or what’s next is frustrating at best.
I guess we have to focus on the small positives we can have or do.
Please take care of yourselves, best thoughts to you all.
I’m guessing we all want the same thing for Xmas ?

That’s only for those who are required to quarantine at home, most awaiting test results, but also if positive. Now, if not found at home when the body checkers call, a $5k fine.
