I am into my second week with working from home and before we finished in the office, a couple of use from my team have made a pact* that we are not going to shave and obviously not get a haircut until we’re back in the office and then that haircut will be a mullet.

So far so good, Mrs Bumpette and I are currently in negotiations about me not shaving for this indefinite time frame because she knows she won’t like it, but it’s definitely starting to grow on me.

*I am 1000% certain that it will be only me with a beard and mullet when we get back

Hahaha….I’m doing the same re shaving, last shift at club was March 27, haven’t shaved since then…working from home doesn’t count.

Mrs Barenski aint real keen about it either.

Sorry mate, 2 reasons why I can’t grow a beard,
    1. The wife won’t go near with one
    2. I’m balding, it will look like an upside down head, I’ll fall over all the time.

    The latest from GA…

    https://www.golf.org.au/updated-golf-australia-covid-19-position

Golf Australia’s focus during the COVID-19 pandemic will always be the wellbeing of the broader community.
Combined with our enduring responsibility for our clubs, their staff and all Australian golfers, we remain comfortable that our position recommending that clubs close has been appropriate to this point.
But, acknowledging the long challenge that lies ahead of all Australians during this pandemic, we have been encouraged to see golf played in comparative safety in five states and one territory in recent weeks as we all adopt social distancing necessities.
Under strict and specific safety protocols – enforced by state and territory guidelines as well as individual club rules – Golf Australia is now satisfied that golf can be played at minimal risk. Having worked collaboratively with our clubs and other stakeholders, we are now comfortable to alter our position and encourage courses to open and for people to play.
As well as social distancing, these safety protocols include keeping gloves on and not touching hands with playing partners, not sharing carts, leaving flags in, reducing hole depth, greater times between groups, not exchanging cards, not using bunker rakes and maintaining personal hygiene.
The ability to play currently does not apply to those in Victoria and the Northern Territory where golf remains prohibited under local laws. As ever, Golf Australia will continue constructive dialogue and advocacy for golfers with these governments.
It is important to note that Golf Australia may again alter our position depending on the changing requirements of governments (Federal, state and territory) as the COVID-19 crisis unfolds.

Best news I’ve had in weeks
Surely Dan the Man can now wear his underpants back beneath his trousers and allow us to regain our sanity now?

Just saw Sam Newman’s verbal thoughts on playing golf in Victoria. Seems quite passionate about his golf, but not quite so passionate about the Premier and his stance on not being able to social distance whilst playing golf. GO SAM!!!.

Originally I thought he may have been reading from a script written by OB, but then I noticed a few grammatical errors, so it must have been done by Peaksy.. 🙂

A bit of discussion on the news about AFL restarting in isolated groups, staying in quarantined hotels, etc.
Good luck to them, I hope they enjoy playing their games and actually earning their megabucks.

Then the question arose of close relatives also staying with the players. The poor buggers might get a bit lonely and stressed living apart.

What about those who went off to war, not only away from home for years, but also being shot at on a regular basis and living in poor conditions. Not to mention those in POW camps. (Sorry, I had to mention them.) While I’m mentioning the obvious unfortunates, I’ll include those who died or returned with severe injuries. Lest we forget. Spare a thought for their loved ones at home who hoped, against long odds, that their fighters would come home.

Now let’s get back to those whingeing footballers who might be away from their families for a few months and their worst fears are a football injury or a virus that is highly unlikely to prove fatal to them, being young, strong and super fit.
    How worrying and stressful. Wimps.

People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.
No championships worth mentioning in recent years.
Progress is man's ability to complicate simplicity.
