Hi, on behalf of clubs that play at various courses, I’m looking for suitable electronic scoring apps.
The app needs the facility for an admin or initiator to set up a comp nominating the specific course, invite or add the club’s players and ‘let it run’. The players would enter their scores during the round and sign off on completion. The results can then be viewed by all players. The app needs to read in the specifics of the course (par, scratch & slope) and apply that to each player. A golflink interface is not essential, but would be nice. The app needs to be free or very low cost.I’ve identified two apps that appear on the surface to meet our needs: Golfify and Game Golf.
My questions are whether these apps would do, are there any others that you can recommend and how well they do the job.
An experienced review of your suggested app would help.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

Yes, I agree.
But I’m looking for something for other courses. Not happy with either game golf or golfify. Not only are they both tedious to set up but the phone keeps going into sleep mode. I also couldn’t find stableford with golfify, didn’t get that far with game golf.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

Progress is man's ability to complicate simplicity.Noticed even the Australian PGA are now using phones for scoring in recent tournaments, at Vic PGA and Super 6 events, although noticed some old hand pro’s still keep score card as a cross check for the modern technology.
probably technology is OK for bigger clubs in city but its a trade off, as many smaller country clubs, who only have a comp on one day per week and 30 to 40 members in that comp, may not be able to justify the huge cost of going digital.
