ParticipantThought I’d get this rolling.
Played in the midweek comp at Curlewis. Playing off 10 after a solid marching out of my handicap due primarily to being an old cripple.
Started poorly, 7 over after 6 holes despite putting well. Things improved markedly after that. Putting continued to be good, shortest putt I missed was from 12 feet, made 2 from outside 20 feet. Driving was solid and iron play was much better than recent form, still not where I want it to be, but improving. Finished with 37 points, 80 off the stick.October 2, 2019 at 9:10 pm #5924Ink

ParticipantThis website coming along in leaps and bounds already – no week versus weekend demarcation about how you played. I’m having a week off because some men came and dug holes in our greens and filled them up with sand.

More than happy for people to spell poorly in my thread, but please keep content to how you played, not that you are going to play. I think the administrators have set up an area for that.?1 user liked this post.

KeymasterPlayed Peninsula Kingswood during the week for a conference event. South course white tees,
Well different game down there that from what Im used to. First hole #10 hit driver-center fairway, gap wedge from 102mt front of green I thought! right on the pin but off back into bunker- 6 shots later walk off with an 8!
Next 10 holes I play +1 so back into it.
Too much drinking the night before and my body starts getting tired, driver into tree, behind little thick brush etc and finish with an 89 off stick uggg Love to play there again as many of the shots you need to know position and best angles to come in.
26 pts played off 6
Overall I was very happy with my play and good warm up for Nationals next week.

ParticipantAn ok round. 35 points playing off 10. Conditions must have been tougher than I thought, missed runner up in A grade on a count back.
Dressed down a bit as a tribute to a mate who passed away prior to last weeks round. I found out about his passing just prior to teeing off last week, talking to his brother between the practice green and tee was hard for both of us.
Gray short, shorts, hat and belt to remember Garry who I gave the nickname of “Fiddy” to due to his penchant for wearing multiple shades of gray.
Catching up with his brother post round was a special moment.
R.I.P. Garry.
