ParticipantIt all depends on the flag position. If it is left laying up Left from the tee, presumably with 3 wood, is a reasonable option, as is centre fairway. If flag is on the right, centre or right is the better option. Long with the approach is the only choice and remember the approach is a half club uphill and almost always into the prevailing breezes. Subject to the strength of said breezes, the driver is a better option as a real man (read young buck) will blow it past the bunker and leave himself a wedge of some sort.
It’s a very elevated saucer-type green from the front. The chip up from in front of the bunker would be considerably tougher
it is ‘flatter’ from the back/left so that might be a better miss.Hopefully Up will see this and correct me where I am wrong and let me know what and why I should be doing, I would like that a lot

Playing a drive depending on where the pin is, I like that – I am going to try that
following hitting driver on 1, the second and third holes will both be attacking 3 woods.
On two I will be a lob wedge out, where the flag can be anywhere from 5m on to 30m on.
Turning the driver over to the left leaves me down in the nasty area that I didn’t like and pushing it right is tree city within the bunker, again, I didn’t like it here either. It will be a carry over the doodle-looking like bunker outcrop on the right hand side leaving me a little flick in.Then on 3, anything longer than a 4 iron off the tee is a tight landing area. The play can be with a pin point 3 iron to the longest part on the right hand side of the fairway to leave a straight shot up in towards the flag.
Too long with driver chasing length on the left hand side will go into the bunker, so the line will be as close to the right-hand outcrop of the left hand bunker to leave something like a 6 or 7 iron in.(note, the 2nd is on the left and the third is the one on the right)
yeah?

ParticipantThe 2nd also depends on the flag location. Back right and you need to be left down on the flat to have the correct angle as the green back right doesn’t hold except into a N-E. Pin back left and you have to be right past the bunker for the correct angle. Very difficult to get close otherwise to both pins. Or, you can summon up your inner Ryan Fox and hit hybrid on.
Your thinking on 3 is okay for a wuss.It all depends on the flag position. If it is left laying up Left from the tee, presumably with 3 wood, is a reasonable option, as is centre fairway. ParticipantStab at Warra yesterday (Thur).
Front nine had five 1-putts, a 3-putt and a wipe for a 20 point total.
Back nine were all 2-putt, 2-point holes except for a 1-point on the 18th.The annoying thing is that I had worked my way through seven non-flags at the bottom of my 20 to finally push out a 40 point on Tues to let my GA index go from 14.9 (playing off 16) to 15.0, allowing me to play off 17 yesterday. The 37 point total has now pulled my GA back to 14.8 with more non-flags to come.

It’s not the moderator’s responsibility to have me posting in the correct thread.
I’m an ages that makes me an adult, so I should have known better.I had played the aforementioned holes over in my head so I posted them up there and got super excited and carried away that I am actually really truly playing golf, not only again so soon after my best golf day ever, but that this game is at the best course with two super amazing humans.
