ParticipantAt Beacy today for Olinda’s Feb MM (stroke & putting), also qualifier for knockout match play, which we want completed before pennant starts.
I only had a few errant drives, but also not many 1-putts either. My sole 3-putt was on our 18th hole. Total of 32 putts.
Nett 73, 35 stab points, no medal.
Overall, played consistently with 2 points on nearly every hole. It was a big change from the Jan MM a few weeks ago.Mirboo North tomorrow for their annual plate event.
People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.
No championships worth mentioning in recent years.

Hmmmm…..yeah….I’ve got to say that whilst it’s still most likely, the group I play with there (who hopefully you guys will meet at the Frog in 2 weeks…Marcus has played a couple of the OOMs in the past – Pete hasn’t) are so good that it will make the decision much harder than it appeared.
So it’s still a wait and see. But you do make a good point!

KeymasterAnd played the VW shamble at YM today, with Pete. and the salt and pepper shakers (CB80 and Dancer…identically dressed…again!)
We had a ball. And Dave was friggen awesome…kept hitting fairways, made a few terrific putts, had an own birdie on the par 3 22nd! We finished 5 under off the stick, net 59.2. Not even close, but still had a terrific day. And for the record…my drives were used 6 (yes…SIX) times. None on par 3s. Now…this bit is for those that know the course…we started on 11, used my drives on the par 5 13th, the par 4 18th (you read that correctly), the par 5 23rd, the par 4 26th (cop THAT!), the par 5 27th and the par 5 10th.
The highlight for me…other than taking my drives on 18 and 26…was on the 21st hole. Long par 4, we took Geoff’s drive. still around 190 in. Dave in the fairway bunker, I smashed the 3w but pulled it left and in the crap, Pete pulls his 3w or 5w…some wood…left of the green, the one spot you really don’t want to miss the green. Now chipping is not my strength…and Pete does it pretty well, but we couldn’t use him as he was out, having hit the previous shot. So I’m debating…bump and run an 8i on, or fly it on with the wedge. I say to the other 2…I’m crap at this, so I’ll go first. Pick the wedge, fly it nicely on, rolls towards the hole…and drops.
Just like this mic…..

Are you returning to Le Frog?
What went wrong with YM, thought you were enjoying it there??
Where do you plan on moving to if not Le Frog???So many questions. Think I better go to the deck and order a brown refreshment. (No, not coffee)

It’ll be the Frog or YM, Dave. It’s a little on the financial (Frog can work out a lot cheaper) but I’m enjoying YM. At this stage the Frog is likely, but not 100% yet.
Have another brown refreshment for me.

ParticipantI thought I’d posted in here yesterday about how I played. The answer was ‘very poorly’.
Vets’ event at Drouin today. Played better but only some holes were played well.
I did have eight 1-putts and only one 3-putt.
17 points out but only 13 back in.Despite the promise of diabolically bad weather, we had no rain at all and only a light sprinkling after coming home.
Tomorrow is purported to bring more storms to deter us from the usual Tues comp.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.
