Birdie Blitz
ParticipantHave been down at Lorne with the family and mates family.
Snuck out for 9 holes around Lorne GC without the kids. Don’t think I have ever played to my handicap around that course, started triple, par, bogey and didn’t get much better after that. Cleaned up my mate for the beers though.
Went out the next day for 9 holes in an Ambrose with my mate and 4 kids (aged 6, 7, 9, 11), no one behind in case you were wondering. Played the first 3 holes than discarded 3 kids with their mums and finished the nine with my mate and my 9 year old girl. Shot 36 in the 6 person come 3 person Ambrose.
While my golf at Lorne GC far from excelled I performed a lot better at the minigolf shooting two 38’s and left a couple shots out on the course. Apparently it equaled the course record although I find it hard to believe.

ParticipantStab at Warra today.
First hole: GIR then 3-putted for 2 points. My only 3-putt for the day.
Wiped the no-shot 6th hole, playing off 17.
Only two 1-putts on the front but still managed 17 points.
Back nine went better with six 1-putts. Only 21 points so obviously the rest of it wasn’t that great.
At this point, my 38 points has me at 11th out of 116 with only a few still to come in, so I should crack it for a ball.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.
No championships worth mentioning in recent years.

The $50 per round was the money used as prize money so I suppose I got my money back. As for tbe raffle….I don’t think I won the raffle last year so I’m a long way short of even for that.

ParticipantStab at Warra today.
After Sat’s pro-am, the greens had still not been mown and were quite slow. It took me a while to adjust.
Two 3-putts and only one 1-putt, reflected in the scores: 15/15 for 30 points.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

ParticipantStroke at belmont today
44/41 85/78 including a 9 on the 4th.
Highlight of the day was being called up on the 13th and very nearly getting my 1st HIO, pin was behind a mound so couldn’t see it once it landed but it looked out on the bottom edge of cup to leave me a 4inch birdie, so close yet so far.1 user liked this post.

ParticipantMatch play knockout at Beacy yesterday.
My opponent kept getting pars when I didn’t. We both parred our 8th hole (26) but I had to give him a shot there so lost than one too. Went down like a bag of shit 7&5. Have I mentioned that I hate playing in the rain?People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.
