ParticipantStab at Warra today. Actually it was “split sixes” (6 x BB, 6 x aggregate, 6 x multiplication), but the pro shop staff, rather than explaining anything, just say ‘the computer works it out’. So we all just complete a stableford card and lodge it.
I had 16&18 for 34 points, no wipes, no 3-putts, only two 1-putts. Partner had less so we’re miles down the pecking order.
People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

ParticipantStab at Warra today.
A bit of a change from Tues. Still no 3-putts or wipes, but eleven 1-putts. I think that’s my best putting round ever.

ParticipantJust to interrupt OB talking to himself in here, thought I’d post the outcome from the Blue Marker challenge today…
A dozen Pro V golf balls are on their way to mwah… Not only did I break my handicap, but I shot a net 70.
DSR of 74 and slope 138. No PCC adjustment.
Gives me a ‘played to’, or as it’s now known, the ‘differential’ of … 13.1
By the time you realise this part of my signature doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

And here you are bitchin about not enough practice.. Just go out and play the farkin game. Whatever happens, happens. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad. OR sometimes it’s fantastic and sometimes it’s ” I want to shoot myself”. It really doesn’t matter which of the 4 you have… you are alive and doing something you enjoy. No matter what the result is, enjoy what you have, sooner rather than later, you will not have it at all.

ParticipantI placed third in the B grade ( 2nd Veteran) at the 54 hole Southern Ports golf week in South Australia. The games are played at Beachport, Robe and Kingston golf clubs. The A, B,C grades play at a different club each day; women in the morning, men in the afternoons. They also had a Pinehurst, 4BBB and social 9 holes on the lay days. I plan to return again next year.
The Kingston course was surprisingly good and the new 6 holes at Robe ( now 18 holes) were very Pt. Fairy/ Warrnambool like amongst the sand dunes with elevated tees. There were great views of the ocean and township from the tees, but it was a hike to get up there if you were walking. The Beachport 9 hole course was a very pleasant course to play, but not as challenging as the other two.
If you are at all interested in attending on 2021, Google Southern Ports Golf week.

Participant37 points at Palm Meadows – 18 back and 19 front
Driver cost me a few and a couple of shocking thin approach shots but got away with them
Otherwise played pretty well, although couldn’t manage a birdieDid you take on the bamboo?
