ParticipantYeah…..that makes sense….play golf to go out as high as you can. There’s a word for that.
There’s quite a few actually… none of them very nice.

ParticipantStab at Warra today.
Highlights: no 3-putts. Nothing else really.
A heap of wipes, 10 points out with no 1-putts at all.
Back nine was a bit better, more wipes but five 1-putts and 16 points.Pennant tomorrow, hopefully my brain is working a bit better for that.

ParticipantPennant at East Geelong today,
Won 2up with a chip in on the last!! Big breaking down hill chip shot from side on, flopped it on and let it run down to the hole Tiger style!!
Eventful day was made to putt from less than a foot below the hole dead straight. Said to him so that’s the way its going to be is it…………we didn’t speak for about 5 holes.
Then was accused of moving my ball on the fairway cos he thought the ball was lying in a different spot!! This from a guy that is known for taking preferred lies and not being able to count!!
Fair to say I had steam coming out my ears for a few holes.rant over we won 41/2 – 21/2

ParticipantPlayed Caboolture today. Turfers has done a great job maintaining the course through rain and drought. The greens are excellent.
They have preferred lie in place but it’s not really necessary.
I had 41 for 18 and 42 for 17 for 35 all up – took my handicap down 0.3 to 11.1

Participant4BBB Stab at Mirboo North with the Vets today.
I played off 13, partner off 18. It was hard work, looking for balls all over the place (they hid well), lost a couple.
We had 34 points, miles off the pace.Stroke at Warra tomorrow.

ParticipantWas at Caboolture today and they were scarifying the greens during our journey round the course. It is looking mint though and greens were
rolling just as good prior to the damage the greenkeepers were doing!!Played Caboolture today. Turfers has done a great job maintaining the course through rain and drought. The greens are excellent.

ParticipantStroke at Warra today. Started well (except for a double on the 2nd) with six 1-putts on the first six holes.
Then the wheels wobbled before falling off altogether on the back nine. Only two more 1-putts but also three 3-putts.
A few blowout holes including a 9 on a par 3 without losing a ball.
Nett 86.Might try a supermarket comp tomorrow. If unsuccessful, I could be going hungry soon.
