First round of the year at The Glades with the Qld crew. Played with Panda as still in twosome per group
Hit the ball really well tee to green. Stuffed up a couple little pitch shots and three 3putts. Very slick greens
33 pts. Played off 5. Shoulda woulda coulda day.
Very happy with ballstriking just need the touch/feel back,
Couldn’t of asked for a better weather day.

Fronted up for a round of Stableford on Saturday at my old stomping ground of Beaufort. Fields since isolation are nearly twice what they are normally for this time of year. Hit the ball better than Thursday but short game was completely non existent. Had 8 birdie putts from under 12 feet and played those holes in 2 over. Anyway finished with 32 points and somehow managed to drop hçap by 0.2 shots.

yeah only missed two fairways (like way in the shit) – once way right on 15 but still stuck it 20ft, then 16 I went to drive green and pulled left into the lake.
I had a few in the rough but no biggy getting to green so may not technically count as fairways hit.
Greens were slick and if you slightly overcook the putt it ran by 6-8ft! Very tough to try and not hit too hard!

They were lightening! So many putts – especially from just off the green – I thought were gunna be perfect but they just didn’t decelerate!
Then of course you get a bit tentative on the return putts!

Yesterday I finally vetured out of “Isolation” and travelled down to Lang Lang with VPGC. Very little expectation as I hadn’t hit a ball or had a club in my hand since my last round. Stroke and counting putts. Playing off 10 from the back markers.
First drive was massive and straight…great start…and a par. 🙂
Some good stuff in that 9 and pared some tough holes including 4 & 6…some stupid stuff with a 3 putt on 7 but the greens were fairly quick down hill.1st – Par 4 – Par – 2 putts
2nd – Par 4 – Double Bogey – 2 putts
3rd – Par 4 – Bogey – 2 putts
4th – Par 4 – Par – 1 putt (Good up & down)
5th – Par 3 – Bogey – 2 putts
6th – Par 4 – Par – 1 putt (Good up & down)
7th – Par 5 – Double Bogey – 3 putts
8th – Par 4 – Double Bogey – 2 putts
9th – Par 3 – Bogey – 2 puttsFront 9 – 43 OTS with 17 putts

84 nett 74 and 32 putts. Good enough (or no quite good enough for B Grade) as my playing parnter had nett 73. Also lost a countback for an extra ball DTL. 🙁 2 balls though and happy to have 10 more than “MUFF” had at St. Andrews Beach on the weekend. I said to him I’d be happy with that.
Course was wet in patches and they had them roped off. Bunkers were pretty average as no raking but I got out of the couple that I landed in. Still love the course though and it was pretty tough as the best score was 72 and we had about 38 players.
Looking forward to Southern next Monday.

Another stab at Warra today.
Still getting a wide mix of good shots and mediocre ones, but few dismal failures.
26 points – again !!!!I’ve moved a flag to the bottom of my list, to come off today. That will get me one more stroke. More work to be done.

Note 34 pts was playing off 13 off the white tees and the others were off 15 off the blues

Great walk but the golf not so good.
Wrist heavily strapped so I can’t bend it down.
Hit some good shots but too many in between that were not.
Finished with 26pts, short walk home for many well earned Beers.

Driver remains slicey – and I’m still getting comfortable enough to aim left side and allow for it so it found some trees especially on holes where there was trouble left
