ParticipantStab at Warra today.
Mostly played crap. Front nine: 7 1-points, one 2-point and a wipe on the 9th hole (a no shot hole). 9 points for 9 holes.
Back nine: a wipe on 11 (no shot), but three pars and finished with a birdie on 18. 17 points for that 9 (including 4 points for that birdie).Total 26 points.

KeymasterMM at Southern yesterday off the back plates. Stroke and count putts. Playing off 12 for the day and the back 9 first. Showers rain at times
44 OTS with 16 putts
The heavy rain started when we got to the first and never let up……
Managed to play until the 4th green when water was flooding the greens and the noodle at the base of the flag was floating up the pole making it impossible to putt the ball into the hole….let alone putt through the water. Started to walk off and the siren sounded.
Game abandoned

ParticipantStab at Warra today. Too wet for carts yesterday. A bit better today with just a little drizzle.
My recent form continued unabated. A few wipes, too many 1-points, total of 24 points.
More flags dropping off this week, so that should push my handicap out a bit. Although I might get a couple of shots back, I’ve been playing around 10 over handicap. A long way to go to get back to ‘normal’ and now winter has set in.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

ParticipantMy golf is getting worse.
Four wipes, ten 1-points, and four 2-points. Yes, just 18 points on 18 holes, and I didn’t get the NAGA.
Can’t blame the weather, although a bit cold. It was perfect for golf.

ParticipantIf only you’d understood what we meant by saying that we hoped you played like my shit golf after your couple of weeks off….
That’s what happens with ‘Knowledge Workers’. I’d be happy to take your shitiest round of golf as my permanent round anytime. At least I know my handicap would head south instead of it’s current rocketing north projections.

ParticipantMM, stroke & putting with Olinda today.
Apart from a few blowout holes, I played reasonably but had far too many 1-point holes and only two 3-points.
Lots more work to be done.

you didnt indicate how many strokes you had only points.
How do you have 1 and 3 point holes and blow out holes (wiped holes) in a stroke round ? was it stableford for MM or stroke?
stroke means every shot has the same value which is why its the best guide to a golfers true handicap.

ParticipantTwo rounds of crap. I can’t play off 12. The swing had been improving, but that’s gone again.
20 rounds of crap and I might have a usable handicap, except for the bloody anchor.
yes i see you are now off 14 for day, thanks to the new World handicap

It was stroke. But stroke rounds are handicapped on stableford points. So, we count strokes, points and putts. From memory, it was 98 – 14 = 84 nett.

I’ve been playing off 12 at Warra, so it was good to get back a couple of shots.
I really need a handicap in mid 20s because that’s all I’m good for since the lockout.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

ParticipantStab at Warra today.
Most drives were straight up the middle, but I had a few miserable failures causing a couple of wipes.
Overall, scoring was better, achieving a 30 point total. First time into the 30s since the covid shutdown.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

Scoring a little better – up to 32 points for today.
