ParticipantOnly because it’s so much easier to forget the bad and remember the good.
Here is the stretch of 14, 15 and 16.
After two reasonably simple bogeys on 11 and 12, I went driver to be a 70 lob wedge out. I was talking it up how this was going to be my shot of the day. It was pointed out that it needed to be better than a chip in from earlier so I had on option – to hole it out.
I missed the mark by about 3m left, pin high.
The next hole, my aiming point was left hand tail light of a van that was parked in their driveway over the road. I hit it about 15m right of that target line so it ended up where it did.
Then the par 3, 16th I was torn between hitting a knock down 9 or smashing a wedge, naturally after the two prior birdies I took the safe option to carry the water and smashed wedge. It landed on the back fringe after carrying abut 130 and popped back on. This was the longest and most difficult of the three putts, I had to start it left up a swale then it knew it should feed back down to the left as it got to the hole.I did then proceed to stuff up the last two holes, in part because I stuffed them up but I was getting messages about how much longer I was going to be to make sure I was home to do the promised things with the girls.

ParticipantStab at Warra yesterday. The mist was a bit heavy at times meaning I had to wear a jacket for all but two holes.
No wipes – that’s a first for quite a while.
Five doubles @ 1 point each.
Two pars (3points on only one).
One 4-point – a chip in from 50 metres after hitting the drive fat. Yes, par 3. That earns a ball. Who needs to drive the green?
34 points, $15 for B grade third.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.
No championships worth mentioning in recent years.

ParticipantSLGC Stab. 36 First time over thirty in four months, which is when I injured the wrist. Handicap out three shots, which helped. I’ve reached my soft cap and will slowly work out a bit further. working out how to play without too much pain from the hand. Drove well most of the day, chipped average, made some putts. Played safe a few more times than normal, worked out, might have to do that more often.
Always good to be out.3 users liked this post.
