ParticipantRegular stab round at Warra today. It was bloody windy but otherwise fine and good for golf.
19 out and back for a 38 total.
One birdie, 5 pars, but also 2 doubles and a wipe. Currently leading but with only half the field in, I won’t hold that spot for long.111 players – looks like I’ve got a 2nd in B grade.
It’s been a good few days.
Yesterday was B grade 2nd: $35 and A mystery 6: $35
Saturday was B mystery 6: $40Mystery 6 is a supposedly random 6 holes for which your scores are totalled. Usually 3 holes on each nine.
Saturday’s I won on the back nine total from a crowd with the same score, but yesterday’s was all the way back to the second hole.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

ParticipantStab, SLGC. Windy-35 gusting to 50klm. Raining so stayed home till almost My tee time, Stopped raining 15 mins before my start time, walked down to the course, putted 4 balls. Called up to the tee! Not an ideal warmup.
Drove the ball low into the wind and High down wind, worked most of the time.
On the green for 2 (par 4), three times and three putted !
Missed too many chips short.
Over all felt like I left a lot out there.
39pts. Won the day by two.

ParticipantStab at Warra again today.
Started with a 4 point birdie (ball stopped a foot short of the hole leaving an easy 1 putt). I held on until the index-1 6th hole (no shot) which I wiped. 18 points out.
Two wipes on the back resulted in 15 points back in. 33 points.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

ParticipantStab at Warra today. Lots pulled out due to promised storms and an 8° top temp.
This morning started with glorious sunshine and very little on the rain radar. My own weather station indicated 10° outside so I found a tee time @ 12:26 (10th tee). Just when we thought we’d been lucky with the weather, a squall rolled through while we tried to play the 11th and another not long afterwards. A few sprinkles at other times but mostly the weather was fine but with a cold blustery wind that played havoc our intentions. How did I play? Crap. 2 wipes, 4 doubles and nothing better than a bogey. 26 points.

ParticipantPar. Played late (for me), grandkids soccer in the morning (two hour round trip, plus the match). Felt tired before I started..
Hit the ball ok, at times, missed too many chips!
didn’t feel like I was playing well, the cold came in as we neared the finish.
Ended 2up after 9 and even at the end.
can’t complain about that. But..1 user liked this post.

ParticipantI played at Heywood on Wednesday morning with my son-in-law. The weather was kind and the rain held off until mid-day.
The greens were slower than usual and the fairways slightly soggy. I like the course with its rolling hills and lots of sloping lies to deal with. The rough is rough, which punishes any wild shots. My son-in-law (off 6) got me ( 15) by one point 33 to 32 points.
I can claim that I out drove him twice, even tough he is usually 50 m + longer than me. He mishit two drives and all I had to do was get past the forward tees for bragging rights.I got a great photo of a large buck kangaroo sunning itself just near the 14th hole tee box. He was reluctant to move.
