ParticipantMM at Warra yesterday.
How did I play? Appallingly. I was only just beaten for NAGA by someone called Caleb, probably an eight year old.
A couple of 3-putts, a 4-putt and a 12 on a par 4. Say no more.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.
No championships worth mentioning in recent years.

A couple of 3-putts, a 4-putt and a 12 on a par 4. Say no more.So an adjusted Gross of 104 off 16 =120 was actually even worse if one factors in the 12. really around 125.
No ….not good. But I am not being critical as there is a good chance in my first round out from prison I probably wont break 100 either.
out of interest which hole did you have the 12 on.

Not sure about your maths there, CB. 95 nett plus playing ‘cap of 16 =111. But either way it’s shit.
It was hole 16 and by that time I didn’t really care, although I’d just parred 15. 3rd shot rolled nicely onto the green and headed toward the flag, but the wind wouldn’t let it stop and it dropped into the bunker. With a close pin, I tried a nice gentle shot with my Rake wedge. The ball came up nicely but not quite out. Hitler would have been proud of me with two more of those. Three identical shots! So I gave it a bit more for the 4th and it flew the green into yonder rough. A gentle chip back onto the green and the same wind rolled it back into the same bunker. I then used the lob wedge for another two followed by two putts.
Earlier in the round I had some 7s and 8s. So my care factor was 0.The Rake wedge will be out and my regular sand wedge back in. I should add that there was nothing wrong with the bunker.

Dont feel really bad as someone at Langy on Saturday had 144 gross off 36 net 108.
next to naga was 134 gross off 36.
there was 8 scores over 110
3 under 80 gross
11 under 90 gross

ParticipantStroke MM, SLGC Rain, Wind. Started badly with three tops in a row. 8 over for my handicap on the front nine. Steady rain and not much wind for the back nine and I played better, go figure. Played even to my Handicap, back nine. Finished with 100 strokes, 22 handicap, for a 78. Not unhappy with the result for the conditions. Low numbers for the day, only 37 Men and 14 Women finished.

ParticipantWe played at Portland this morning in wet conditions. It kept getting wetter, until hole 9 when it became too wet to putt through the water on the green. We retired!

ParticipantPlayed at Arundel Hills with Brisbane Fairways. They gored probably a couple of weeks back and haven’t sanded recently so the greens were horrible. Close to the worst I’ve ever played on. A total lottery.
Off 12 off the blue tees
Back nine I was terrible too. 12 over 48 and 11 points. Dropped 4 shots from 3 putts and a 3ft miss. Ball just bounced everywhere. Couple of bad luck drives cost 2 shots.
Front was better though but a triple bogey bogey finish only meant 19 points.
5/14 fairways – dropped 3 shots with driver a 1 from a skied hybrid, but positive was I started to hit much straighter as the round progressed.
7 GIR – 3 dropped from hooked hybrid, a 5i pushed into the trees on 9 – my last hole – and a toed 8i punch that didn’t make it out of the trees
4/13 up and down – 7 dropped – apart from a bladed LW pitch I was OK with the short game today – I put plenty of pressure on it
35 putts – 5 dropped from 4 3 putts and a miss from 3ft
Disappointing performance but I was introducing new swing change and that created some good results but as expected was a bit variable.
Start 6 games in 6 days from Wednesday when Nats would have been – so excited!

ParticipantUsual stab at Warra today.
I did not play well. 12 out & back for a 24 point total. Two temp greens with the flags planted on fairways didn’t help. A poor excuse because some others had good scores.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.
