ParticipantThe usual stab at Warra yesterday. Due to drizzle, we rescheduled our start with a 5 hour delay. We still got a bit of fine drizzle though.
Another very slow start. Pulled my first tee shot left, it hit a tree and rebounded back and across the 9th green, missing the four who were putting out. Next shot back through the trees (at least that was the intention) but stopped by another strike. Finally got on the green for 5 and missed the putt.
Similar story on the 2nd. A large cypress tree on the left edge of the fairway grabbed my passing ball and threw it back behind the trunk amid exposed roots. My attempt to hit it over the roots and under the branches failed, the ball hit a root, up into the tree and fell down just a few metres away. Third to the bottom of the gully where a good drive would usually go and I again ran out of shots before holing out.
A little better on third hole, finally scoring a point. I was 5 points down after 3 holes and finished the front nine with 13 points.
Another 16 points on the back for a 29 point total. Perhaps I should have stayed home and dry.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

KeymasterHave to think about what I need to spend it on????
Lessons before and during the Summer Cup 2021 so you can win the farker.. Hopefully they will take it up to $750 and you can still maintain your amateur status.??.
I should clarify… by lessons I mean honing lessons to get you on song. Or maybe learn to play from the other side of the ball. ?
Too old for that…..a few years ago it was around $700 for the winner. It ususally depends on how many players we get to the 4 rounds as all the money goes to the pro shop…..the more players …the bigger the pool.

ParticipantStab at Warra today. No rain but the wind was cyclonic. Standing on the tee about to pull the trigger and a gust of wind blows you off balance. Balls were blown off greens or took a big curve and the next putt on the same line goes straight.
That all makes for a fun day provided you don’t take the scores too seriously. One wipe but only one par. 28 points.

ParticipantStab at Warra today.
Front nine wasn’t too bad with 17 points. But the back nine was crap, finishing the day on 26 points.
Too many 3-putts, shouldn’t have had any.Pennant tomorrow, with an early start. At least it’s close by.

ParticipantHandicap pennant at Drouin against Trafalgar.
I won mine 2&1 and the team won 5/2.
The two new holes were in play, official opening tomorrow and the local club played them yesterday. Very open, links style, with one 3ft high gum tree and a bunker to separate them.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.
