KeymasterStroke yesterday at Southern.
88 OTS nett 76. 33 putts
Not great but there is some sign of levelling out from so many 20 point rounds of late. Probably helps that the handicap is starting to slide and I have another couple of shots on the tougher rated courses??

Fiji time must agree with meWere you over there for schoolies? One of our neighbours and her yr 12 friends went over there instead of dealing with the dickhead factor on the Gold Coast.

ParticipantSnuck out for 9 holes around Royal Park Golf before work this morning. Greens were in surprisingly good nick although due to not playing regularly the putter felt like a lead pipe. Got off the tee well, Iron play was abysmal , putting ordinary and hacked it around for 40 OTS – 2 pars, 1 birdie, 6 bogeys.
Plenty of room for improvement.

ParticipantIs no one playing at the moment?
Anyway out on the weekend and had the most unremarkable game ever. Did nothing well, but nothing bad. Drives would miss fairway but only in first cut, irons would be struck well but just miss the target, chipping was OK but not stone dead, putting was OK but not dropping.
In the end it was 85 – 12 – 73 nett and no counter.

It is a special place for sure. Love to get back to play more of the course there including new Doak layout

ParticipantGarth was scathing about the new layout, but yes I’d still love to have a look.

ParticipantAnother 36 around Northern. Concentration was better – no three putts or missed chips. Hit only 2 fairways though. Look out when I can get to a range…

Actually, I think Garth might be onto something. Doak gets great pieces of land, then builds wacky greens’ complexes, and all the slavish swooners go gaga over it………but he is the Messiah to some.
