ParticipantSo the greens were slow??
Not particularly. The Lakes nine usually has slower greens than the Hills 18, but there was little difference yesterday. The Hills greens are usually much the same as Warragul’s.

ParticipantMM stroke & putting with Olinda G C @ Beacy today.
Nett 76 with 28 putts. Winner had net 74. I won the putting.
It all could have been a lot better, had I not shaved the hole 8 or 9 times. The rest of my game was not up to par with numerous poor shots mixed with some good saves. I had a 7 on a par3. Also had a 3-putt.
Do you think your game could have been better if you concentrated on golf rather than trying to shave your hole on the golf course?

ParticipantOldies’ 9 hole this morning.
Weather was crap. Ok, just a little drizzle, but it meant wet weather gear and I don’t like that.
Golf was crap, hence so was the miserable score.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

ParticipantStab at Warra today.
15/15 = 30 with 32 putts.
Two wipes, one 3-putt.
A couple of wide drives, a couple of botched hybrids and a Hitler.

ParticipantVets @ Garfield today.
I had some nice shots, but some stuff ups too. Drained quite a number of 1-putts but also had a 3-putt.
Too many wipes, not enough 3-points, total of just 29 points.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

ParticipantMaybe not how I played but…..I took my 10 year old to her first “tournament” today in the Primary School Golf at Mandalay. It was icy cold, windy and pretty constant drizzle but she had an absolute ball – playing around with her new best friend she just met on the 1st tee. She shot 57 on a 9 hole shortened course, made a great new friend (who won the girls) and qualified for the next Regional event at La Trobe GC.
Great day and the best thing she is already planning more golf tournaments just need to work on her putting (5 putts on the 1st hole). -
