Best round I’ve had in several years. Just consistent ball stringing and left a few putts out. 3 birdies on back 9

Didn’t come close either day!
Played Oxley Tuesday in a little event- had 3 over front and 7 over back.Non comp round. Blue tees
Beers started to kick in on back! the relatively short front nine par 5s and no birdies, but a bogey on one of them.
Monday holiday past- same 3 over front 7 over back non-comp round- at Parkwood. losing mental thoughts on back! Black tees
Game at Glades in morn with SEQ crew which is comp fingers crossed
You’ll be right. You’ve got the Barnesy, “testing round” down pat. You should do just enough to win the day without doing any damage to the cap. ??

Only 1 drive that put you in any trouble that I can recall
Didn’t drop a putt if any real size – could have easily been a sub par round with the tiniest bit of luck
Played the par 5s amazingly!
I had a hit at Marion Golf course on the south coast of Adelaide today.
How did I play? Crap is the answer!
I jammed my half set into my daughter’s car and the Driver was too long, so I stuck in the GX-7 for tee shots. It has a 3 wood length shaft. For the first few holes I faded the shots way out right. So much for a draw biased fairway finder. Then I realized that I was hitting the ball on the heel side of the face, rather than swinging across the ball out to in. I adjusted my stance a little further away from the ball and tight draw shots returned. The fairways are up and down hill and have a lot of side slope, so the course demands choking down and stance adjustment for ball below feet shots often. The greens were fast and a bit bumpy. A bit of water and a good roll would help.
I did manage a couple of pars with some deft chipping. Other wise it was a forgettable 9 holes . Best part of the course is the scenery down the coastline of Adelaide. Still I got 1.5 hours reprieve from babysitting a 2 year old.

More comps and a little less ‘testing’ will resolve that..?

I had a couple of 3-putts early in the round and a wipe. But otherwise, it was fair golf.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.
No championships worth mentioning in recent years.

Yes and no part of possible overflow carpark was sold years ago and we are talking to developers about a possible reocationmore uplifting result

Next round I knock off a 38 point flag from my list.
I am 0.1 short of getting another stroke and of hitting my hard cap. My anchor point is from Feb last year, but it was still current in May 2020, so that’s when it’s dated. It expires mid next week but it will take another 3 rounds for the new anchor to come into play. It’s only another 0.1 but then it jumps up more a week later.It’ll be nice to get a handicap I might be able to play to.
