KeymasterIf there’s only one thread for this, we won’t be posting in the wrong one.
Good thought, now stick it in the Practice Range where it belongs.
But it’s not practice, it’s playing.
If madam thinks it should be moved, I won’t object. It’s a report on how you played and what practice you should be doing to improve.
We don’t talk about golf on the deck.
Why not, it’s the clubhouse deck?
The deck is for talking crap, I suppose you golf game does fit into that category like many others, but the deck is like the lounge on the ISG site and in the majority of cases, how you went at golf on any given day was not discussed there as the deck on here is for all manner of things other than how you played a round.

Possibly.
In any case, here’s my report of today’s effort.
After two 13 point halves on Tues, I opened with 14 points on the front and followed up with 20 points on the back nine.
No 3-putts, but four 1-putts (3 on the back). Most of those that have their journey thread on how they have played on any given day in the Practice Range. OR Hat Trick started a How Did You Play This Weekend thread in Community Business, perhaps you could tag onto that.
Other than that, nobody sitting on the deck having a beer and a laugh about anything but golf gives a flying fig about how many farkin putts you had. Or then again, that could be just me.
Where are the “bouncers”?

ParticipantWe don’t talk about golf on the deck.
That’s not entirely correct.
We do have this thread going ‘on the deck’:
By the time you realise this part of my signature doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

I think the approach Weeti takes is good. He posts a score summary in the relevant thread (weekend or weekday) and puts his detail in his journal / journey thread.

ParticipantIn 2020 already played a quarter of my total 2019 comp rounds.
1st Jan – Ballarat – 31 points – Really schizophrenic round with birdies and doubles a plenty think I only had 3×2 pointers.
2nd Jan – Midlands – 33 points – Couldn’t hole a putt and irons were poor. Drove the ball really well though. One day it will all come together.January 3, 2020 at 4:52 pm #7741Commish

We do have this thread going ‘on the deck’:
That is a question that could/should/would supply a myriad of responses which will then lead to active conversation over a beer or ten whilst we take in the vista (we need more photo’s of same) from the deck. Talking about how many bloody putts you had on the other hand, will get you thrown over the railing of the deck.

KeymasterBeautiful deck this. I haven’t had deck like this in a while. I went to my previous deck, admittedly it had been a while, yet it seems to be overrun with tinned ham.
Cheers

ParticipantMM yesterday with 48/50-21=77nett. Hcap went out point one now nineteen point three. Played a few ‘bend it like Tiger’ recovery shots from 180m out on 1,3 and 10 that helped save par or bogie. Seemed to make great contact regularly too, radar was just a bit off though.
Put the M1 back in bag, swapped out Rougue 70g for kuro kage 60g to see what difference it would make and to my surprise, nutted some great drives…. even had 4/4 on 13th, cannot remember the last time that happened…. frustratingly on 6, 11,16 could not hit the green from 75-90 in……always seem to pull the ball left or chunk it….. new Spider mini in play, second game with it , had about 3 three jabs, so a work in progress. Two quads and a five over par score loomed large in the card.Glad to have broken 100, again, I only play once a month and no practice so reading more mind control books may help to improve on reducing helicopters after piss poor shots.
Thanks for reading

ParticipantMM (stroke/putting) with Olinda GC @ Beacy (Hills front, Lakes) yesterday.
Started slowly with 6 stab points on opening 6 holes, then 9 points on next 3.
Once we hit the Lakes, shit happened. I had a Bo Derek on hole 20 and followed that with a nasty dozen on hole 22 (2 into the drink).
End result was a nett 89 off 16: played to 25.Today was the Garfield Plate, again playing off 16.
Highlights: no wipes, no 3-putts.
Lowlights: no 3-points, heaps of 1-points, total 26 points. As for finding a better home for this thread, none of the others seem any more relevant. I’ve asked madam and await a response.

Looks like Olinda GC should implement the double par pick up for monthly medal.
that would have saved you at least 5 shots.1 user liked this post.

that would have saved you at least 5 shots.Five shots wouldn’t have helped. They’re both par 4s, I should’ve had 10 shots, not 22.
