Havent been playing much on course golf of late.
What with travelling around in our van, working on finishing a big project for a client,(you know the one which starts as 1 day per week to help them out and becomes 4 days)
Back and forward between the daughters and enjoying grandkids on coast and then in van again and off to other daughter and her grandkids on her new farm.
also back and forth in meetings planning the new house, mowing new block ,sorting out shxt with councils.
lots of running around finally meeting friends again for BBQ’s and a bottle of red etc..
Weathers been so cold and wet and shxtty and on the good days been enjoying fishing more with son in law unfortunately golf has dropped off a bit. 4 games in last 4 months (hitting lots of practice balls on the farm its best practice fairway ever.) had 92 last week but it didnt matter..

Our plans after Christmas is to go golf along country courses and travel as far North as we feel like going, far away from Virustoria..
No fixed plans Just follow the sun and wind with fishing and golf as we travel in retirement.. go and see our son in Qld and then
Who knows where we might end up and if we like it so much we may never return….well at least until the house is finished But even then we will see..

Stab at WAGC – 41 points, 30 putts, 79 off the stick, no wipes.

Should this thread be titled “How did OldBogey play”?

Everyone is welcome to add their own contributions and foibles. It’s not my thread.

Stab at Warra today. 28 points, 28 putts. Far too often, it took me par just to get on the green. Only one 3-putt.

Stab at Warra today, of course.
35 points, 30 putts, in glorious warm weather. Course in superb condition in readiness for a PGA event in a couple of weeks.

Stab at Warra today. We weren’t acclimatised to the mid-30s temperature and we felt it !
34 points with no wipes. 31 putts with no 3-putts
The storms, promised from lunch time, didn’t arrive until this evening.

    MM stroke at Warra yesterday.
I had a few shocker holes on the front nine (48) but steadied on the back (43) for a nett 72.
    31 putts with no 3-putts.
Course is being readied for a PGA event with fast greens and tidy everywhere else.
Weather: Had a little drizzle on the first few holes but then fine. Wind was very chilly under clouds.

Isn’t anybody else, apart from xman, playing golf?

Yeah, but nothing worth talking about..

I’ve been drinking more than playing – combine both and it would be something to talk about.

West Gippsland Veterans at Drouin yesterday.
Around a hundred players in great weather. The course was in excellent condition except the greens were too slow for me. My chips were well short and so were the putts.
All the top spots were taken with 40 point scores, but I was 10 short of them.

Quite true oh learned one, one without the other just doesn’t seem right. I do believe at times though (apart from me being a total hacker at present) the first leads to the 2nd and by the time I’ve finished with the 2nd, the 1st no longer matters. Just as well I enjoy both equally, although at times they both give me the shits.?? Physically and metaphorically.

    Par at Warra today.
Crap weather – very fine drizzle which hung around for most of the day.
Once I get wet, I’m no longer interested in ‘performing’, as evidenced by the score.
Something like -7 with 34 putts.
A few drinks and chats in the warm clubrooms afterwards was much better.
