ParticipantStab at Warra yesterday.
Started with a 3-point par – always a sign of crap to come. Followed up with a heap 1-putt 1-point doubles.
13 putts, 14 points at the turn.
Back nine was mostly 2-putts but one 3-putt and just one 1-putt. I did manage three 3-points and finished with a DB 1-point.
18 putts, 20 points.
Total 34 points.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

ParticipantMurray river challenge R1, Berri Country club
hot day 35 deg (very draining conditions)
Event Par
blue, white and red tees.
start on white tee = if make a plus move back a tee on next hole, if make a minus move forward a tee. make a half stay on same tee.
good game as each hole presents new challenges and adds to variety of play of holes as we were off different tees on some holesoverall result
played 3 holes off blue, 7 off white and 8 off red
Golf score minus 2 vs Old mate = minus 5
best result nice meal and bottle of local red in club house after game with the girls1 user liked this post.

Bring back the shot guns! I use a hunting boomerang and somehow they know I can’t reach much past 60m.
Our way of dealing with the situation is to agree on the approximate position of the theft and drop a new ball there with no penalty.1 user liked this post.

Keymaster34pts today, golf is great!!!
I got back “on the horse” on Thursday at Moonah Links (open course)……..first game after the Murray trip. 14 on the front and 21 on the back off 11. 35 points got me nothing but a little bit of self pride….

ParticipantIrish stableford at Warra yesterday. A team event that goes something like best score on the first 6, best two scores on the next six and best three on the last six. Computer looks after all that, we just play stab.
Our team was me (19), a gun off 12, his son (new to golf) off 40 something and another lad who’s been playing about a year and now off 17. He’s a scrawny little kid (12 or so), who smacks the ball well past mine.
Everybody else in the group played shithouse but I had a reasonable day. So it goes.
I had 16 out and 19 back for a 35 total which, in a normal comp, would have gotten me 2nd in C grade. Included three 3-points.
Putts: two 3-putts, one chip-in, 14 out, 13 back for a 27 putt total.
Apart from not even getting a ball dtl (awarded to teams), it nearly cost me a stroke off my playing ‘cap.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

ParticipantAgg par at Warra yesterday.
I went ok on the front nine with a +1 but the wheels fell off on the back with just two halves and seven failures.
Putting let me down with three 3-putts and a 35 putt total.
My partner did a bit better but we were never in the hunt.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

ParticipantJust the usual stab at Warra today.
It was more about the putts than the points.
Front nine: two 2-putts and seven 1-putts for an 11 total. Other stuff-ups kept the points down to 19.
And then came the back nine: four 3-putts and only two 1-putts for a 20 total. 15 points.
So, that was 31 putts and 34 points, an ordinary result.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

ParticipantThe usual stab at Warra today.
All the tee markers were well back except one hole where they were 10m shorter. All up, well over the 100m limit. But that’s life.Front nine: 16 points with 16 putts (slow start)
Back nine: 17 points with 17 putts. My usual midweek compatriots, who play early on Saturdays, both also had 33 points. A ball dtl is very doubtful.
