For everyone who are managed to get a game in today.
As someone just said ‘at least this year’s has not ended up on the floor’ 🙂

I wonder who that was 🙂

We’ll have to celebrate doubly next year for his 50th!

Today I had to pop out and grab a couple of parcels I knew were coming. Our local PO lady came out with another parcel I was not expecting and asked, are you sure it is for me…she showed me the name. I arrive back home and open it up, how thoughtful and loving. xxxx You have brightened my day and my heart is full. I don’t mind admitting I have been struggling big time the last few months and yet again, there you all are helping me when I need it the most. Words really don’t eexpress how I am feeling and how grateful I am to still have you in my life. Thank you so much xx

Good morning fellow L4G’ers, today we commemorate our beloved Live4Golf Paul Jordison at Pennant Hills Golf Club.

Whilst we couldn’t do this on the regular date, PJ’s birthday, we will make up for it today.

Once again Mrs PJ will be joining us as we pause to remember and toast with a shot of various alcomohols, the big fella.

As is custom, all funds today will be donated to Beyond Blue.

    See ya after the game.

Results from a great day at Pennant Hills where we raised $1065.00 for Beyond Blue.

Special thanks to Mrs Chook Norris for coming down and watching us chop up the course. A very big thank you to Schmuck for donating his annual tee time allotment for the day and also to Pennant Hills Golf Club for donating another 4 tee times and a voucher to spend in the Pro Shop. Last but not least thank you Commish for your donation of prizes for your Mystery 2Ball.

My thanks to Commish, Greywolfe and Ross Bird (soon to be “Birdman” here in the forums) for joining me in my group. It was good to chip some of the rust off my game but clearly there is more to remove!

The 2022 PJ day will be on Sunday September 18 at Riverside Oaks…put it in your diary now!

A great day as always and good to catch up with all the guys and meet some new ones. Huge thanks to Schmuck for giving up his corporate day to allow us hackers to play a great course. Also a big thanks to PHGC for allowing what I am sure is a fair step outside the ring of normalcy in adding an additional 4 spots to Schmucks allocation AND supplying the voucher. It should not be too much trouble for those that attended (if you are so inclined) to let the club know one way or another how much their efforts were appreciated.

Thanks to Barnesy, Greywolfe and Rossco for the company and for at times making me look like some form of a golfer and at other times the total hack that I am. Good to also see that Groove has not lost any of his length of his golfing skills, Pepps, Greywolfe and Sid still hit the ball out of sight., BK should change his name to The Stone Mason… he is the master at just chipping out a solid score.

Thanks also to Barnesy for doing what he does best… Being the Captain that isn’t. Plus, even allowing for his score today, if he ever plays once a month instead of twice a year, WOW!!!

Two things to finalise…. 1st. Whether intentionally or by mistake, Capt (that isn’t) Barnes forgot to mention that the winner of the the PJ Memorial Shield was Greywolfe. May have been by default as Dave Vaughan is not an L4G contributor. Maybe that will change.

    2nd… Something I never thought I would see….. Barnesy in a FARKIN NISSAN….

Last but by no means least. HUGS & KISSES to Mrs Chook Norris. Your attendance each year is an extraordinary thing.

I feel at ease during games, you all make it that way x
It is a fun day full of laughs. There is a response on the FB page from me about the game. I do wonder where the swearing is though, because lets face it I am no angel, so please, if you need to – go for it, trust me I will not be offended.

Was definitely an oversight Commish, thanks for correcting….hmmm, very “Captain” like of you 😛

Maybe you n Snorkelguru could team up as joint Captains 😀

As for the Nissan, it’s the missus’, I hadn’t renewed the Commodore rego in time.

It would seem that PJ’s “Everyday Hero” page has been discontinued as Beyond Blue have moved to a different format. I will investigate further on how to best donate the funds, which are now at $1165.00.

I also see that our old home, Iseekgolf, have finally deleted the forums page. I was hoping to get back in there to find out how much we have donated over the years. I will go through any records I have here once I find a way to break into my old crashed HDD!

It seems that the gods are against me…or is it just being DESPERATELY UNLUCKY!!!

Wasn’t it decided that it would be Riverside Oaks for his 50th to correspond with the game we had there for his 40th, that is of course if it is even open by then.

Sounds good to me… that doesn’t feel like 10 years ago but it is. Time flies…
