Well…what a cracking day. After it looked a little bleak early, what a beautiful day it turned into. Was great to see everyone back at the Frog for the first game of the year.

Well done Muzz…you little bastard…you just keep racking up wins in these things.

Smergs making a long awaited return to the group, along with Nationals roomie and former *champ Koiom…we had a great day out there. We were following possibly the slowest group ever allowed on a golf course, but it was still fun…if not a little frustrating.

Quite a few highlights..one of the best was on the 11th-12th holes, where collectively as a group we were one under on each hole – Carson and myself with pars, Smergs with back-to-back birdies. I was giving him shit all day about him laughing at having to play off 13…when he’s had 36, back-to-back birdies, and decent birdie looks on 1, 3, 5, 11 and 15. He may have got the one on 5….I can’t remember…

    Bring on Sunshine in April.

Good to see Smergen dust off his gear too!!

    2012 – Patto River OOM
    2013 – Heidelberg A grade
    2014 – Sanctuary Lakes A grade
2015 – must have been off fighting ISIS in Iraq…nothing
    2016 – Torquay OOM
    2017 – Moonah Links B grade
    2017 – B grade EOY Winner
    2018 – Moonah Links OOM
    2018 – Gardiners Run A grade
2018 – Overall and A grade EOY Winner
    2019 – Gardiners Run OOM
    2020 – Growling Frog OOM

Losing to this bloke is not the worst thing that could happen.
And certainly a pretty familiar experience for many here.
And a big good evening to Frank.

I love playing the Frog. Who’d have thought 34 was enough for 17 of 25?? Group of bandits! Was a nice day but for a few peanuts and their attitude but not letting the negativity get in the way of a positive outing. Thanks to the organisers, Geoff, Deege & Goldy but also to Ink for a fun round. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great having a hit with you… was worried when Goldy said I’ll have one of his regulars in my group…he plays with a few dodgy cats.

Thanks to all and was great seeing most again.

Frog was in good nick, my golf uneventful which is unusual for me. No wipes, lost balls or hitting off the other fways….pretty shite and boring if you ask me.

    Kiwi is a short karnt.

Well done Muzz. Someone’s going to have to slow him down so we all have a chance. I’ve found a wedge to the head works. If I do it again though people will start to see it as a pattern. Hopefully someone else can step up to nobble gnomey’s nuts.
