Madam
KeymasterHi all,
Considering putting the WBT into retirement and adopting similar scoring to the Vics and their OOM or the Qlders Gravy Cup, with the COC Jacket presented to the overall winner at the final event.
Fire away with your suggestions…and remember if you can do it better, the Captaincy is all yours.
I’d love to see somehow all states have an end of year winner- each that then play off for a title at Nats?
Not sure how it can work with Nats in Oct but if PGA tour has a wrap around year why can’t we;)
Why not end the year at Nationals?
Any OOM games played post Nationals become starting games for the next year OOM
So, run OOM’s Nov – Sept. Nationals October.
That way current year OOM leaders / winners can have play off at the Nationals.
Great suggestion
Madam
why not have the Nationals in late November as the final event .(then it can be a bit of a christmas party as well.)
each state can having its own program as the “race to the Murray” competition through out the year..
each state will have a winner or top of the of its OOM and these players play off for national OOM.
to get to Nationals players have play there way there through state OOM’s, thus avoiding any ring ins winning the event.Something to look at but would have to start next year as season underway already

ParticipantHow about a game in the Illawarra this year? Wollongong is in surprisingly good nick at the moment considering that we have had f*ck all rain for pretty much for ever now.
All of you inland NSW:ers could use a round at the Gong to learn how to play in the wind! 😉

ParticipantWhat days of the week is it usually? Saturdays are tricky at the Gong, but I’m sure I could block a few tee times on a Sunday arvo for instance.

ParticipantDown at Kendalls for my usual 2 weeks in Feb from 10th to 25th. More than happy to have a hit at any of them on any given day if it is ordained that we have a February game in the Warra.

ParticipantWollongong has an open medley comp on Sundays. If I just book a bunch of tee times for that we could all play in the comp in parallel to the I-HATG 2020 (Inaugural Hit At The Gong 2020.) That way daily hcps and GA and all that stuff would be handled automatically for us?
So Sunday 16/2 or 23/2 around lunchtime, what do you guys think?

ParticipantShould be able to get onto the gong in the morning if the timesheet is open? Gong never used to have that many starters on a Sunday from memory.

ParticipantI’m available for either which. Zookeeper will be down for the 16th and if it involves golf he would be keen. However, he could be at Jamberoo with his siblings and all the grand kids. Won’t know until they decide what day they are going. I suppose it will depend on how much interest there is and what is the preferred date. If it doesn’t happen, I’m still happy to have a hit with ya. AND I promise, no Swedish chef jokes..

ModeratorHow about Sunday 1st March…gives us a bit more time to organise.
Need to also work out what format we will be using..an OOM type where all points added for the year and you drop your worst score so 4 out of the 5 (or 3 out of 4) count?STILL FUCKING CAPTAIN
