    I can make 1/3.

Id suggest seeing if you can get 5 tee times and we can drop a few if numbers are low. I know a few members st Wollongong so if you get stuck let me know and i can see if they can help out.

Sunday 1/3 looks like the best option then. I’ll call the pro shop today and see if I can block 5 tee times or not. If I can I guess we’ll go ahead. If I can’t get morning tee times would arvo ones be OK?

Now I just need to convince Barenski to step up and take charge! 🙂

I just talked to the proshop and we have 5 tee times starting at 10:33 am. To be able to get morning tee times we will all have to play the open medley comp as well. Which I think might just be the easiest way to do it anyway? Then everyone just pays their GF and comp fee on the day and we get daily hcps and all that sorted?

Or are there any reasons for not doing it that way??

Can’t remember in the history of the NSW games ever getting 20 to travel south, but who knows, some of those that live in a southerly direction might come back into the fold, if they know that the L4G forum exists. Zookeeper has Sundays off so he may be a starter as well.

I’m pretty sure that is how Barenski would organise it anyway. Just need to record the scores for the daily prizes and OOM before the cards get entered into the system.

It’s good to start out positive though 🙂

I was told by the proshop that they would very much appreciate any not required tee times back within two weeks or so of the event.

    I’m fine with either dates.

Barenski: What do you think, should this be the first OOM comp of the year or are there others lined up?

Hey pyl, there will be other games during the year, last year was an exception as I was just too busy to get them organised.

We usually have 5 rounds a year…February/March April July September and the COC in late November.
However with the Nationals being in NSW this year it will more than likely be March, May/June, September (L4G Memorial) October (Nationals) and November.

Despite Commishs’ No Capt No Play I’m happy for someone else to run it if I’m not available…I cannot do the 23/2 otherwise I’ll no longer be celebrating anniversaries.

1/3 15/3 22/3 29/3 are my March dates (daughter getting married on 7th hence why no 8/3 in there).

So off you go with preferred dates.

    Thanks!

Looks like 1/3 might be the best then since Commish has commited to coming down for that! 😉

Bookings for 1/3 opens in two days. I might be able to block a few tee times before then if we go for that date.

How many players do you think we might get? Would two tee times be enough? Do we put this up on ISG as well to try and get more people across to the new forum?

Edit: I’m fine with you captaining it. I have no wish to get into that quagmire if I don’t have to! 🙂

    Thanks Pyl

You fell perfectly into Brenski trap. He has been trying to get out out Captain role for years!

    Thanks for volunteering!

Let me know the details I’ll update our main calendar and you can start a new thread.

We tend to have a Vic only end of year bash for our OOMs which takes place after the Nationals – the wrap around season would be difficult for us. But there is no reason why our reigning OOM champion couldn’t play off against the other states.

Sorry about the super late post – still catching up with the change in format which makes me think I am on the last page and there are still nine pages of discussion I am cutting through. I will see if I can now catch up on the rest of the discussion of this point.

Bloody hell, have now read through 4 more pages of crap about the inner workings of the NSW gang and none of you even spoke any further about the interstate OOM play off. So I could have left my original comment as it was and didn’t have to read all that bollocks.

Anyway, have fun with your OOM season NSWelshpeople.

We also have and end of year event where our COC is crowned, no reason that COC from the previous year couln’t play in a Nationals play off

Something about always thinking you were a COC.
