    Learnt to hit driver yet?

    Why thank you for asking.

Played RQ today – and the driver is much much better.

17/17 – 34 points and 42/43 for 85 off the stick. Whilst, not my best round, I know where the issues were.
Hit some wedges a touch heavy or was a bit tentative on a few pitches due to pin positions. Putting was a little off today as well pushing some that i should be making.

I hit driver a lot more today as I find some confidence and starting to find more fairways. Only one really bad one today which is a huge improvement for me.

That’s the most frustrating thing about golf, one week it’s the Driver next week it’s irons then Putter. Getting it all to click every week is the hardest thing. But when it does, how good is golf. I think we love it because it’s hard.

If it was easy we would get bored and drift into playing bowls!

If bowls is anything like my Putting then does that mean I get 3 attempts at the one ball?

3 putting is so frustrating! The putts can all be quite reasonable; so near, yet so far! Bowls isn’t quite so punishing of a short shot or not quite on line. You say they are strategically placed misses.

Drinking seems to have less of an effect overall on your performance with bowls.
3 Putting is definitely a hugely frustrating part. Can get to a green with 2 good shots, and walk off feeling deflated. I sadly know this affliction too much

That’s the biggest thing I’ve found from your home course, you can really feel like you’re playing well and hitting it good, be on for two and walk away with 1 point.
Or if you miss to the wrong side, it’s wash city

I have started to practice the short game a lot more since joining there, as this really gets found out there. And great facilities to practice with. Also, need to get value for money.
