you’re not really keenyou need to be committed.Who in their right mind plays in the rain?
Let alone sopping wet!
By the time you realise this part of my signature doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
Success is the ability to go from one failure to the next without any loss of enthusiasm.
Good judgment comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.
Meditation makes doing nothing quite respectable.

And I will actually win.I think you’ve talked it up too much, so the weather gods have put the mocker on you.
If only you’d given a run down on your wet weather attire, and the performance improvement elements of each item!

Why would a little water worry me?
You don’t worry about getting wet when you surf so why worry if you’re golfing?
If it’s a torrential downpour then you can’t play in those conditions but otherwise it’s just water

ParticipantThere’s been not a single drop in the Airport gauge today so the course will be perfect.

ParticipantWell there were a few drops during the round today, to the point where the lightning alarm forced us off the course for 40 minutes or so.
The course was nevertheless in very good conditions and the greens are still firm. The bunkers though were GUR which required a few lob shots over them which cost me a couple of shots. The last few I hit ok though so that was something.
I was off 12 (for some reason despite the SR being 73 so I should have got 13). I had 17 off the back and 18 off the front. 2 pick up wipes were the real disappointment for the round. A 2ft birdie putt on that hole 9 was the highlight.
1 birdie 8 pars 5 bogies 3 doubles (1 pick up) 1 triple (pick up)
12 fairways – great stat but the fairways are very generous but I drove it pretty well. Dropped 1 shot from hitting it into the trees.
9 GIR – actually a pretty solid result and if it had a decent short game I could have had a good score.
1/10 up and down – terrible short game performance on the first hole 10, and on 17, and on 5 were very frustrating. Dropped 9 shots here: 3 LW 3 PW 2 5 iron and 2 Texas – only 1 Texas up and down.
35 putts – 1 3 putt and didn’t miss any short putts but didn’t give myself many short putts for up and downs either. Putter was ok but nothing exciting.
Reasonable round but the short game was shit
Dropping a 7.8 vs what will probably be a played to 12 so I will.go out a bit.

Up here it is rare to have to play in rain, but if that’s the conditions for the day, so be it. A decent brolly and a wet weather glove is all that is required. Wet weather jackets and pants only make you wet from perspiration.
Besides, if you didn’t play in rain in some locations, you’d hardly ever tee it up.

Precisely my point.
Why play in rain, when it rarely has to happen up here!
40 weekends a year to play dry.
Sitting out a few days to avoid crotch rot is pretty easy.
Well, unless you like crotch rot.

Short game killing you… Be off singles if not for it?
What’s the plan to fix it?
Edit: and yes, what’s with the new system not giving the DSR adjustment. Have the same thing at my home track. Still giving me a daily of 20. Grrr.

ParticipantI’ll just keep practicing the short game – I improved as the round went on and everyone struggled with the chip shots from behind bunkers with the grain into you
Singles will beckon as the confidence builds which is my biggest issue
