Can’t see a delete but you can edit it to something not embarrassing

    It’s all or nothing
and they will find mud to sling anyway

I sort of liked the last read feature on that other site, instead of having to trawl the pages, or am I missing something…..

A little arrow shows up for latest post- we are still looking at how to do the last read set up.

This platform is very basic set up- have to upgrade to get more features like ISG has.

Well pick away at tweaks where we can and hopefully find some further functions via these free bolt ons.

Rome wasn’t built in a day…..we’ll just make do with pizzas and wine for a while.

Wheres the wine! I want some please;)

    I meant whine……

Logged in users ‘should’ have a “WORDPRESS” icon in the top left, that when clicked shows a “dashboard”. You can customise your own dashboard and it includes ‘recent posts’. Is that the sort of thing you need?

If so, the same functionality should be able to be incorporated into the ‘main’ forum area as a ‘widget’… either left, right, top or bottom of page, in the “page” layout settings.

I’ll just add this disclaimer, my knowledge here is much like getting golf swing tips from random people off the internet.

By the time you realise this part of my signature doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

do we have the ability to delete posts after we’ve done them?
more often than not I say things that I shouldn’t which will then probably be mined by the boffins in the ALP and used against me when I do dabble in politics, so I would delete them off ISG after a moment of reflection…
can I do that here too?

Can we just clarify your political aspirations are to stand for pre-selection with the Labor party? You’re worried the candidate screening process may dig up some dirt on you? Your own party? What?

Has that ever happened in Australia? With the Labor party?

The Labor party wouldn’t be slinging mud at their own candidates in an effort to discredit them.
It is a playbook used for an opposing candidate (winking emoticon)

so, no, I wouldn’t be in line to be seeking pre-selection as an ALP candidate.

Can we have a lounge forum please. Why??? because we need somewhere to sit and reflect whilst we manoeuvre between the other threads, PLUS it stops Toph having to one up himself in the Song Title Game thread on ISG and I can’t help him out in there any more. PLUS, PLUS, I like the ability to have a forum with diverse threads that don’t really have a direct impact on golf and it’s foibles.

Isn’t that what the rules sub-forum area is for?

Or, is it Community Business. I get lost.

EDIT: I had type, “I can’t keep up” instead of “I get lost” but with the moderation around here I could see it being changed to “I can’t keep it up” and would be paranoid for months knowing someone around has seen me, ah, struggling.

Nah,, the Rules Forum is for people who don’t really give a shit.

Community Business is close, but we need a 19th hole where all manner of inane crap can be discussed. I mean this is a clubhouse after all.

We did have the pool room but got a bit to steamy in there.

What’s a good title. Lounge. Or the deck or patio?

Whatever you choose would be fine. I like to sit on the balcony and watch the world pass by, it’s that open room with a view. Did you see what I did there???

This all sound like a matter that should have been tabled at the EGM.

But, given said ‘fiduciary deficiencies’ would it be prudent to make it the first L4G ‘poll’?

Perhaps a short list of options upon which votes may be cast?

    The view
    The lounge
