Commish
ParticipantAs I have been kicked out of the ISG forums AGAIN and have tried numerous ways of signing back in without any success I have given up. The place is going downhill faster than some of the putts at 13th Beach. Anyway the reason for the thread is to just say as per usual I had a ball at the Nats. A big thank you to Mads, Goldy, Barnesy, Deege, Weetie, Schmuck, Pigskin and anyone else that had even the slightest bit to do with organising the mayhem. I know Mike speaks about how passionate he is about the varying aspects of golf and what it brings to a community like ours. But his passion is on show for all and sundry when you get even the smallest of glimpses into the amount of work he does in the lead up to The Nats each and every year. The fact that he has continued to do it for 8 years astounds me, but I, along with everyone else I imagine, am glad he does. Same goes for the King of Draws, the master of the spread sheet, God of golflink, the Golden Wand. Simply amazing. Thankfully I was able to play all days again this year, with a special thanks to those that were aware of and showed there concern for some issues that were arising for me at home during the course of the Nats. Thanks for you thoughts and kind words. I am happy to report that upon getting home this evening had a phone call that assured me that things, although still a bit tight, are going better than anticipated. Once again, ta.
The golf over the course of the six days was a mixed bag by all I do believe, but the one thing that was a constant was the comraderie and friendships that were renewed, garnered or established over the course of the six days. Does not matter if you were there for 1 or all 6. The fact that you took the time to show up is what counts. You are all a very special bunch of guys and gals.
To my playing partners over the 6 days.. Deege, Sandy, Ghetto, Goldy, Snorkelguru, Peaksy, Ink, MOG, Benno_R, Koiom and
DinnerBox. Thank you all for putting up with my crap golf and sharing the laugh fest. I enjoyed each and every minute with you guys. To my little mate with the huge heart Kiwi, it was great to catch up with you although it was not for that long. Always good to see you even for the shortest of times. I hope you parting comment in the ISG forum was not the final word from you. Don’t care if it was for that site, but hope to see you floating through here in the near future.Last but not least to Marian, the dancing Dellavedova777. You are simply amazing. Those rolls each day were a highlight and the cookies went down a treat with a coffee when I got back to my digs. The Lindor choccies were a little special as well.
Hope to see you all at The Hunter Valley in 2020. I am sure that there will be some who have not crossed over to this site yet, so they may not get to read this. SOOO, if anybody reading this that still has access to the ISG site, if you felt so inclined to cut and paste this into the Nats thread I would be appreciative. Sorry it is so lengthy, but The Nats is not something I can just keep short.

ParticipantGeezuz…. How the farknuckle did I miss you as a playing partner..Just having had another look, seems I missed Scooter as well. Sorry to both of you, I can assure you nothing intentional about it, although you probably wished to forget our 2B effort on Sunday:(. Thanks for putting it up on ISG.

You had me at “As Ive been kicked out”
Thanks Commish “you get me”;O
Its a funny ragtag bunch of nutters that just works on so many levels. I would hate to see the group broken up so my goal is to keep this going as long as possible.
Its therapeutic for many of us to get away for the week and let our worries be put to the side for a little moment.
Now onto the Nationals Doldrums of waiting till March when registration opens and we can see Oct around the corner.
L4G is in the infancy but with a great start from all of you being part of the next chapter in our family journey.-

I think the dinner is the highlight of the year for me. It inevitably amuses and potentially offends everyone in attendance…and that’s the beauty of it.
