Can working from home be anywhere you can get an internet connection? Asking for a treasured acquaintance.

    Yeah pretty much, Miguel.

34 points playing off 18 at the Frog today…a game of 2 halves…which, by definition, they all are….anyway…21 on the front, 6 over, including doubles on 1,2 and 6. Pars on 3,4,5,8, birdie on 9. Played to my handicap (a 2 pointer) on only one hole on the 9 – the 7th – where my par putt lipped out.

Nothing exciting on the back…clearly…2 wipes, 10 (greenside bunker for 2…didn’t get out, then plugged, then at the bottom of the bunker again, finally out…of the bunker, and shots) and 14 (basically just played it like shit). 6 x 2 pointers on this 9. One 1 pointer (on my favourite hole, the 15th).

Should get me back to around 15.2-15.3ish, which would put me off 17 on all the layouts at Yering. My aim when joining there was to be off 18 on all of them…so this is a good thing. Didn’t play there today, as for the second time in a month or so they decided to do a Black Tee Stroke day. Jam that where the sun don’t shine.

Back at YM tomorrow for Stableford. Off the Blues.

    Thanks for reading.

As long as you put your best foot forward and tried to get it done for the boys.

Well…after waiting nearly 2 months for a hit, the last couple of weeks have been lacklustre at best. I think 27 or 28 is my best score, the course just being way to wet and carved up by carts. At least last weekend they brought in preferred lies.

Went out today for a late 9…the course finally has had a dry week…I would have had 20 points with a wipe…pars on 3, 5 and 7… and a 4 pointer on the only hole I don’t get a shot on…that’s right…kaw-farken-kaw…eagle on the 4th.

I play the same 9 first up tomorrow…undoubtedly it will be a disaster.

So…it turns out it wasn’t a disaster after all.

Par today…I love Par…starting on the Nursery course (1-18)..off 17…
    Par(+), 0, 0, Par 0 (yesterday’s excitement hole…today’s no shotter for par), 0, -, Par (+), -, 0 for 0 on the front. Pars on 1, 4 and 7.
    0, 0, Par(+), 0, 0, Birdie(+), -, 0, – for 0 on the back…0 on the day. Birdie was nice…short par 4 with water all down the left, and a water crossing before the green…pw to 4 feet.

My best flag drops out, but likely I’ll only go out about 0.2 to 15.7. Nice to be hitting off a relatively dry track compared to the slop of the last two weeks.

    Good times.

How’s your relatively dry track gonna look for this weekend?
    Relatively fuct, I imagine
Keysie was just starting to get firmer again as well
So much for that, after today

Southern was flooded yesterday. Still pretty good unerfoot before that and the dams were over-flowing.

    I can imagine mate
Keysie had some pretty wet spots last week
Not helped by a blocked drain on 13
The boys were working on it last weekend
Looked much better on Sat/Sun but yesterday’s rain won’t have helped

Good question…I suspect “rooted” may sum it up after yesterday.

The biggest issue we’ve had is that they let carts out as soon as we got back – so the soft conditions saw the fairways get the crap carved out of them – in the name of revenue, you could only attribute it to.

We were in good shape on the weekend just gone…I suspect that’ll be a distant memory.
