Can break 80
ParticipantNot in lockdown, but I’ve been watching Boardwalk Empire during idle time and when there’s nothing entertaining on free-to-air.
Neighbour gave me season one on disks but I prefer to stream them instead of fiddling with disks.
Only problem is that there are five seasons each of 12 one hour episodes.
Part way through season two. This might take awhile. Is that because carts are lot allowed on the course.?
If so call me the home of golf is allowing carts, but they have to stay to side of fairwaysJuly 3, 2021 at 6:42 am #17109OldBogey

ParticipantWell I guess I could complain about Dan Andrew’s decision to close down rural Victoria again, for a problem 380 km away. Yes it has ruined #1 daughter’s vacation plans and #2 daughter’s nursing training placement for 4 weeks interstate. Yes it has closed our golf course again, but in reality the horizontal downpour for the last 24 hours would have caused the course to be closed anyway.
I spent an hour watching Z Nation on Netflix. One of the zombies had more than a passing resemblance to Lurch (Andrews)!

ParticipantI need to find a new series to stream.
Just one episode to go on Boardwalk Empire. A total of 60 hours.
Any suggestions? No, I’m not into zombies.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

ParticipantI’m into season 2 now. It’s a strange show. Something interesting!
Berlin Babylon
Season two was ok, although the English dubbing is pretty rough.
Having trouble finding a dubbed season 3 stream. I’m not going to put up with 12 episodes of subtitles.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

ParticipantI didn’t notice the bad dubbing, but then again I speak German.
What did I do today ? Helped my daughter with home schooling her two primary school aged kids. While I was there I helped my son-in-law work on replacing the house fascia boards. It was very cold up on the roof. Later in the day I provided medical care to my mate who is two weeks into a knee replacement. The low level laser therapy is good at speeding healing and reducing swelling.
My best laugh was Dan Andrew’s calling for a ring of steel around Sydney. Do as I say etc. ! Why no ring of steel around Melbourne Dan? Could it be that it wasn’t effective, cost a bomb and the Police Union won’t do it again. If he had done it again, rural Victoria would not have been locked down/ up for the last two weeks.

ParticipantShould I get excited and go outside and do some preparation work in the net for Wednesday’s golf game?
Should we start betting on DA lifting lock down?
Will it stop raining any day soon?
Has the course turned to mush? ( should be in the bloody weather postings)July 26, 2021 at 9:13 am #17171OldBogey
ParticipantWed will be wet, Thur fine. But the course will probably be too wet for carts. Wet again on Sat.
In the meantime, I watched all (two seasons) of another series ‘Who Killed Sara’. Mexican, but at least the dubbing was a lot better than BabyB.

ParticipantThis border closure stuff is BS. We had a Veterans Association game scheduled for Dartmoor on Monday. It has been cancelled because if players from outside the 40 km border bubble enter the zone, the residents of Dartmoor will have to isolate for 14 days if going over to Mt Gambier to shop ( closest shopping area).
Forgive me but
1) What happens if they visit Heywood the closest town on the Vic side , then go home. Is it not the same as someone from Heywood gong to Dartmoor? What about the daily transport drivers visiting Mt.Gambier from Adelaide?
2) Both Sates have active Covid cases (both 400-500 km away from Dartmoor)Surely it is time these ridiculous restrictions are lifted!
