During my twenties I had a couple of injuries (knee and eye socket) that ruled out playing contact sport anymore, and once life settled down golf became the obvious sport of choice.
I’ve always enjoyed it and played a bit as a kid and joined Brisbane Fairways around the same time as DB.
I can’t imagine not playing now, golf is such a great sport where it’s a constant test against your own game, yet at the same time you can play against others due to the handicap system.
I think what keeps me coming back is there is always something to improve on, and golf courses themselves are pretty beautiful bits of nature.
