KEG 6.5/6.8/5.5Had a reasonable round on the weekend but still went out 0.4 due to a good round dropping off. Next round is flagged as well so danger round. After that good for the next 5 rounds. Just need to make time in the calendar to play some more golf now.

ParticipantPlayed Stab at Beaufort on Saturday. First game since the WGC handicap system so off 10. Strange game of golf played pretty good solid golf on the front 9 for 17 points and then really struggled on the back 9 and ended up with 19 points for a 36 point total. The back nine really felt like I was just holding on so surprised to get 19 points.

ParticipantVentured down to the salubrious Queens Park Course in Geelong for a Mixed Gentsomes. Never played Gentsomes before and didn’t really know what I was getting into, invited by a mate who a sponsor.
Struck the ball pretty well – struggled a little with the greens (Very Slow after recent rain). One of our mates struggled off the tee and we had to use 3 of everyones drives anyway got to the last 4 holes and still needed to use 3 of his drives and one of the lady who was in our group. The other two of us still hit shots going for NTPs etc. disconcerting when we have to pick both our balls up off the green and play from 20 metres short of the green. On the last hole I nearly drove a 290m Par 4 and then had to go back and play from 130m short in the crap.
It was a fun day. For the record we had 94 points which placed us equal 3rd for the day and a ball down the line.

ParticipantHave been completely stumped. Apparently songs love having Again as the last word of the title.
So I ended up doing some searching and came up with this Mashup in Spotify

ParticipantHighlights that I need to be out playing golf more often. Quick scan through the list identified 32 of the courses I’ve played. Really interested in Peninsular Kingswood coming in so high that was a surprise. Also the order of the National courses.

ParticipantI missed a foot long putt today – the little bastard just turned right away.
OB how did that make you feel? would you like to talk about it?
Do you think this has impinged on your health in any way??
Maybe I should do follow up qualitative interviews with golfers, could get interesting.

Quick get back on the course again then.
Thanks for filling it in the survey is closing this Friday we have had 379 respondents and have powered the survey at 384 so if anyone is still keen to fill it in would be greatly appreciated. Even if you haven’t had much contact with the health care system the first section of the survey is based on Ageing well.
Cheers,

ParticipantWent down on Saturday and watched. Great format with the Mens and Womens on the same course and intermingled. Found more value in watching some of the women groups looking at how they approached certain holes in the wind. Watched Sangstrom for a while, had great ball striking and was having fun even in the wind.
As for the greens my Brother In Law, member and resident down there, mentioned that they got some disease a month or so back and hadn’t fully recovered. Still looked pretty quick going down hill down wind to me.
