    Stab at Warra.
Front nine: although quite windy, it was otherwise pleasant enough but my score was shithouse. One wipe, four 1-points, 2s for the rest. 18 putts with only one 1-putt and a 3-putt. Just 12 points
Back nine: the weather deteriorated with passing squalls but my golf improved. No wipes, only one 1-point, four 3-points. That leaves four 2-points. Four 1-putts, nothing worse than 2 putts. That’s 14 putts, 21 points.
Totals: 32 putts, 33 points. Not a bad finish considering I had 6 more putts than points on the front and the weather was worse on the back.

Don’t forget to let us know about the weather in the weather thread

You play golf like me, just 100m longer on most shots.

Especially some greenside bunker shots …
But what an honour it is to be compared to you, for anything – be that for good or the really good.

Played at Pacific with Brisbane Fairways off 6.
    Had 28 points.
Sometimes it’s fun when you have no idea where the ball will go when you’re addressing it.
Had an absolute blast playing with Rusty Old Man as a Father’s Day gig.

Highlight was a temporary par 4, playing about 245. The green was tucked on the left hand side behind a series of big trees. One bloke tees off with his 3 wood and perfectly slings it around the trees to be about 20 short of the fringe.
I smashed my 3 wood, it started a touch right of the line I wanted and didn’t draw. It clattered into a huge tree, maybe 6m up and dropped back and right. Turns out that tree was pin high and if it didn’t hit the tree it was proper dead. Easy chip up and two putt par.

I did have a run of 5 pars on the second nine, but there is still doubles that come from not knowing where the ball will go.

    Good times.

Is think a group of 4 would be reasonable, 5 at most.

I’ve moved to a system similar to “Whack, fuck”
The difference being the infliction to represent good or bad on the later.

This weekend I will be knocking off a played to of 4.5 from Indro in March 2017.
Obviously, my expectations are for the handicap to stay where it is.
    Good times.

Regional Vic out of lockdown but still some restrictions.
Metro-gnomes still in full lockdown, new cases around a dozen per day.

And in a surprise to no one, this post has not aged well.

I’m surprised you remembered, I was only there for half a year in 2001 before I got my stupid full time golf career ruining job

Do you mean marriage and children?

That was the cremation of the career, following the earlier death.

I seriously doubt the marriage and family would have happened if it wasn’t for me having the stupid golf career ending job – so swings and roundabouts there I guess.

Next week at Virginia – Wayne Grady, Bump and Greg Norman’s old club – will be round 2 of club champs

I’m surprised you remembered, I was only there for half a year in 2001 before I got my stupid full time golf career ruining job.
During the pennants’ season I would play at Virginia early on the Sunday then out to the Piney pennants’ game in the afternoon.
    Good times.

Metro-gnomes still in full lockdown, new cases around a dozen per day.

I really hope that your all your sake that this doesn’t blow out to a few days of over 60odd cases with punters traveling and spreading the virus. I reckon there’s going to be full state lockdowns if it starts spreading too much.

One day I will learn to take my own advice. When I can play again of course.

I always say about my Rusty Old Man, he can’t putt for shit, bit I’ll back his read in every day of the week.

And I wonder how it would happen if there are cases in your hood, from someone travelling there perhaps?

We noticed that on drive down to Surf coast this morning, lots of water in paddocks and very flooded swollen rivers..
next few days are going to be fine, but most of courses seem closed, due to flooding.

Interesting that you found a way around the lockdown.. Can you share the secret???‍♂️

I’m pretty sure the compulsory lockdown is optional.
