Scratch rating was the big change for White Tee and Blue tee(back tees) with the Whites now 67 down from 70 and the Blues down from 74 to 71. Slope rating didn’t change much at all.

Wow…. so you lose 5 shots off your handicap with the scratch rating of 67 against a par of 72. I would be quite chuffed with having 36pts no matter what the ‘played to’ ends up as under those circumstances.

A great day as always and good to catch up with all the guys and meet some new ones. Huge thanks to Schmuck for giving up his corporate day to allow us hackers to play a great course. Also a big thanks to PHGC for allowing what I am sure is a fair step outside the ring of normalcy in adding an additional 4 spots to Schmucks allocation AND supplying the voucher. It should not be too much trouble for those that attended (if you are so inclined) to let the club know one way or another how much their efforts were appreciated.

Thanks to Barnesy, Greywolfe and Rossco for the company and for at times making me look like some form of a golfer and at other times the total hack that I am. Good to also see that Groove has not lost any of his length of his golfing skills, Pepps, Greywolfe and Sid still hit the ball out of sight., BK should change his name to The Stone Mason… he is the master at just chipping out a solid score.

Thanks also to Barnesy for doing what he does best… Being the Captain that isn’t. Plus, even allowing for his score today, if he ever plays once a month instead of twice a year, WOW!!!

Two things to finalise…. 1st. Whether intentionally or by mistake, Capt (that isn’t) Barnes forgot to mention that the winner of the the PJ Memorial Shield was Greywolfe. May have been by default as Dave Vaughan is not an L4G contributor. Maybe that will change.

    2nd… Something I never thought I would see….. Barnesy in a FARKIN NISSAN….

Last but by no means least. HUGS & KISSES to Mrs Chook Norris. Your attendance each year is an extraordinary thing.

Why is it that the Driver you are about to sell suddenly starts to work?

Yep I agree, it’s always the clubs fault.?

If we are Covid guest groups clear then I’m pretty confident of a positive outcome…oops that sounds bad! 😛

By mid year, Covid will be the new flu. All systems go…

Ha….the numbers will be 50k plus by then

Possibly, but as we went from Delta strain to Omicron strain, ( a lot of letters in the Greek Alphabet between those two) hopefully by then we will be at Omega strain and leading a normal ( what is normal anymore) sort of life.

MM stroke at Warra today. Bloody hot out there, around 40°.

42 out, but 49 back in (I faded somewhat as the day went on and the heat peaked) , nett 73.
Putts: 13 out but 17 back in for a 30 total. Two 3-putts, one chip in.

Less than 100 players instead of the usual 200+.

So you’ve got a chance then??

To all our L4G family and friends, I hope 2021 is much better than 2020!

Have a safe and memorable time over the holidays and we look forward to a catch up over golf in 2021

See you all on the other side

Well that didn’t work out too well. Lets hope 2022 is an improvement and we just get back to having a cold.

Merry Xmas everyone? and I reiterate what I said last year… It’s only 4 posts back, so it won’t be hard to find.?

Merry Christmas to you all (that’s if anyone actually reads this crap). Stay safe.

Yes…. Yes it is, but I read it anyway. It’s that masochistic inner self. The same reason I continue to play what some may mistakenly think is a very different version of what they call golf.

Have a great Xmas and and even better 2022 OB.?

Thanks Commish, I’ll have to chat with the wife about a leave pass but 4 rounds in 4 days sounds like fun.
The beers during and post round make it even more fun.

If anyone is traveling to the Newcastle area for this and wants hit up another course, I’ll be playing Pacific Dunes on Thursday October 20th as part of a business golf group. Great track, and it’s a good group of people so let me know if you’re interested.

Gee that’s a tough one…. Magenta Shores -v- Pacific Dunes. I reckon I can lose a doz balls at each, but I will have more fun doing it at Magenta..

Just wondering if it’s possible to play only a few events in this. I won’t be able to get a leave pass for every day but would love to play a few of those events.

Nominate the days you wish to play and Mads will add you to the list. Be aware however, that as some of the latter dates are limited in numbers able to play, priority is given to those that play in the 2 day Champs on the weekend.

Sounds like you definitely need to attend the Nats in October. In the mean time, I shall see if I can pick up some of the others in my travels.

Thanks so much Weetbix, I’ve shot you a DM

If you speak to Comrade Barneski nicely, he may be able to get you Terrey Hills (if you can’t wait until October) and Monash, his workplace isn’t too far from either of those.
