ParticipantI guess it’s not looking good for this 🙁
Seems nothing is going to happen prior to Oct 18 and then it will be for 2 x Vaxx people. Thankfully I am in that group, so wherever it may be and whenever it may be, if I’m still breathing, I’m there. Unless of course, there are no carts.

ParticipantLove it… Leave home at 5, hit Howlong around midday, 1pm tee time then into Cobrum by 6pm and festivity time for the next 3 days. Maybe Corowa or Gundagai on the way home.

ParticipantYeah…nah.
Golf courses are open in Regional…and operating normally (or Covid normal) – no staying on premises, masks required, no comp. But groups of 4 are on.
Can I ask why there is no comp??
Of course you can ask but don’t expect a reasonable answer.
I never do..

ParticipantQuestion….. If regional Victoria is mostly free of Covid and I presume would like to stay that way, but the Greater Metro area of Melbourne is shall we say the more infectious and major contributor to the spreading of the virus, why would your Premier say to those in Greater Melbourne, “Off you go to Regional Victoria and beyond because they need your $$$’s”? Mind you the only beyond is NSW cause all the other borders are closed to Vic from what I can gather. I would have thought there are far more businesses in the Greater Metro area that have or will fold by Xmas than in Regional Vic.
Only say this because some ignorant pricks decided it was alright for them to head off to Regional NSW rather than get caught stuck in Greater Metro Sydney and look what resulted from those little escapades.
No, the metro gnomes are still not allowed of their pen and are still on a 5km leash.
Regional Vics are now allowed to go anywhere in Vic except metro M. They just can’t do anything when they get there. Shops, restaurants, cafes can all open with a max of 10 indoors and 20 outside. No home visits. Outdoor recreation max of 20 pers per venue. A golf course cannot operate like that even if you separated the course from the clubhouse.Dan and his team of advisors have again proved that they are a pack of dickheads.
So he has opened regional Vic up to regional Vics?

ParticipantWe still have a few players that will need carts regardless.
I agree on making it 54 hole event if we get enough playing al three days We can’t get Saturday at Yarrawonga and Sunday currently we may not get carts What’s better Cobram or tocumwal for Sunday? Also accomodation is a little tricky at moment as it’s a peak season for them usually in March.
suggestions
1) Why not make the event a 54 hole tournament = Friday /Sat /Sunday
2) if playing 36 hole event play same venue ie lake course and murray course sat / sunday
stay on site, dinner at same venue simple
same if play tocumwal presidents course and captains course, stay on course dinner at same venue-

Can break 80.
Yarrawonga is an easy walking course, so some of field might prefer the walk, by the time this event comes around we MIGHT just be out of our cages and all or most of us will only have walked 1hour per day and not more than 5km.
Yep.. Not because I don’t like to walk, I just can’t. A little thing called ‘Artheriosclerosis’. I don’t wish it upon any of you.

ParticipantI’ve got plans to double up my amount of games for the year over the next 6 weeks…I will check back following that.
2 games in 6 weeks?? Will your body hold up to the strain? ? And for the sake of my sanity, can you please advise how many putts you have each game. ?

ParticipantCan you fly into there??
Fly? That’s not like you Commish, you normally drive and play every course on the way! 😉
Albury would be the closest airport I would think…it’s only a 63/4hr drive from Sydney.
I’m keen if it’s on.
And that is what I will do this time as well. Was more enquiring for our Qld brethren.
